Just for anyone that is trying to gather some extra info on Nvidia and you see the id 'almlk' everywhere . . he is probably one of the loneliest people on this board and probably has nothing to do other then talk to himself, which is what he has been doing lately. Though I have him on ignore, his grayed out posts are all over the place. Put him on ignore and save yourself some trouble. Most of the long-term investors post only around critical dates for the investors and I'm sure many are preparing for Easter week, spring break with family and friends, as I am. Have a good weekend everybody . . and 'almlk', find something better to do, okay?

Has nothing to do with Nvidia as a company . . the 'support' levels were broken across the entire market today and Nvidia is back safely above $18 while other semi-conductors remain in the red over 2%.

Just curious, I'm used to seeing a post from Ibexx here and there and haven't seen anything in a while. What has happened to him? I'm sure you are enjoying the steady long-term growth of Nvidia these days, wherever you are Ibexx.

    maxwell 20nm delayed?

I love how these type of articles to make it look better for AMD come out just after an upgrade . . gee what's the motivation you think? This is twisting something that has already been discussed and shared by Nvidia. The first Maxwell discrete cards were not going to be high volume and it was already understood that the 20nm would be coming later with mobile in K1 and 64 bit being in 28nm in high volume through this year.

Expect more of the same articles making big news out of items noted already by Nvidia themselves as part of the road map.

The only reason I'm responding is you keep making insinuations that are false and I need to clear them up. As a man, I don't have any need to have the last say. And if I was a woman, it wouldn't matter either. It doesn't matter why you asked about denver, but it does matter that you try to look up whatever you can before getting into a tizzy about how people reply to you. It's just more productive. Have a good weekend.

I think your reaction here is pretty sad actually. I was trying to be polite to you but you apparently are very sensitive or just trying to make something out of nothing. If you are using Motley Fool as a measure of credibility and also coming here first to find out anything on Denver when there has been several announcements made regarding Denver in the last month, then it is hard to take your query seriously. I was trying to help you see a way to get more input from other long-term investors who post here on this board but apparently you'd rather lump any constructive criticism towards your reactions as all the same. I'd flag you for abuse with your last remark here but hopefully you'll wise up and try see what is more productive. Good luck.

He's not being rude really, just saying you really should make an attempt to do some of your own reading. It would take a basic google search to find a couple of articles that have been posted online in several places to get the latest regarding Project Denver. And most that post here like you usually are trying to use a back door to bash away because they want to use this board to keep novices guessing at what is hype and what is actually happening. I'm assuming you aren't intending to bash at this point.

There is nothing to quote that changes what they are doing now and what they have been doing with the acquisition of Icera. You are showing your true colors by your comments about Jen. When calling him a clown, maybe look at yourself in the mirror first? It's funny how you are posting just when the integrated modems are hitting the market . . it's called the certification process, heard of it? This whole process has been well delineated from the acquisition to the present and all of a sudden you are back to post . . need a way to find back in as a short or just sour grapes that you are missing out? Just move on if this is all you can say at this point.

Idle talk here but this is BS taking your interpretation of the CC out of context . . the phones are still a part of their plans, just not the way YOU think they should go about their business. They haven't wasted a dime with their modems and it's just in the early stages of adoption after getting certification. Really, to second guess at this point is pretty silly. The first phones have just come up with their modems included. Do you expect QC to rollover and play dead so Nvidia gets like 20 wins right out the gate? They haven't changed their priorities at all . . they've actually expanded their vision beyond phones but that also INCLUDES phones.

So what are QCOM, INTC, AMD and most of the rest of the semis pulling back to? All of them are down more by percentage today. Go ahead and buy more now, it's worth more in the long run than anything you think you can gain on the short-term swings now.

Technicals are worth the time for trading when there isn't any other news in the near term, ie in one to two weeks, but trading barbs here is pretty much useless between the two camps of the trader and the investor. IMO, there is more reward long-term by far with Nvidia then there is short-term and to be frank, the money made in the short-term in the past really was overdone. I haven't known anyone that trades almost exclusively on the price fluctuation that makes any decent money. If you actually do your taxes honestly, there isn't really a lot of money to keep :). So basically, to ask any investor how they are being 'treated' on a day with more dramatic up and down price swing in a day is pretty silly. They aren't selling so they aren't being 'treated' or affected in anyway that matters.

Hate it when insiders are selling. Time to unload!

    roundhouse_c roundhouse_c Feb 27, 2014 7:27 PM Flag

Just this once I'll humor this poster. Here's the actual record of Shannon's sale for any that 'might' take this poster seriously and hasn't put him on ignore . . yet:

"CAO David Shannon sold 2,232 shares of NVIDIA stock on the open market in a transaction that occurred on Friday, February 21st. The shares were sold at an average price of $18.66, for a total transaction of $41,649.12. Following the transaction, the chief accounting officer now directly owns 115,101 shares in the company, valued at approximately $2,147,785. The sale was disclosed in a legal filing with the SEC."

So that's a little over 2000 shares out of how many shares exactly? 115,000 shares REMAINING. That's less than 2% of his shares! If I sold that many, it would be significant (out of my 10k or so) but if this attempt at making investors sell is the best he can do, we're in good shape.

Move on to another board if you can't even post something that's worth reading.
