It looks like according to Bloomberg wti ended the day at $96.07. That's what it showed all day on the CnBC ticker. Then while watching Fast money this afternoon wti showed up .59 cents to 93.47. what am I suppose to be looking at here
LIke triple or more. Heating oil supplies low going into fall. No builds in gas so I expect further high refinery usage from hear on out with Kansas back on line. I am starting to wonder about this glut everyone is trying to sell.
I like having the energy stocks I own out of harms way. No hurricanes to worry about or Mideast unrest etc.
If something happens ERF will be the first to go higher. Plus nice dividend. The capacity numbers out today seem to tell a story. Gas supplies continue to fall as refiners re equip for winter. With the economy improving it will only be a matter of time before this gets back on track to a higher price. Plus with ERF's expanding production it makes up for lower prices right now with more oil to sell.
absolutely agree it would be a perfect acquisition for Google. It would recreate you tube and as you say kill Netflix.
To me it should be good news. Oil was high most of the quarter and nat gas didn't start drizziling off until late July. ERF is pumping a lot more oil than in the past and output numbers have been rising. I don't know how this current year is hedged but in the past it was $96. Most believe we might shake out down to $95 but beyond that oil should rise again. My feelings you have a lot of explosive things going on all over the mid east and if IRAQ has the water cut off to Bagdad and Russia invades Ukraine all of these and more mean higher prices. Spiking higher prices at a moments notice. That's why I'm not afraid of a rising dollar which could lower oil prices. Interest rates will stay low for several more years. The economy is far from being off its training wheels. Now throw in an errant hurracaine it could be $130 per barrel easy and fast. Pricing like that would have ERF over $30. So I expect good news
Oh yeah the checks in the mail huh? Wait, wait... found that bill underneath am old pizza box in Ballmers office today sorry bout that Unwired. Being processed as we speak...
How does she go out and make comments about certain type stocks like she did today. How do you analyze which stocks she's talking about. NKTR has tons of cash, robust pipeline, growing revenue but we are thrown in with other much more speculative biotechs. This is an unprecedented comment to make.
