I've said this before, but I think the company is suffering from growing pains. They've come a long way in a very short period of time. I've followed this company for many years, and in both electrical and real estate development, they have always done excellent work.
Instead of the "big contract," they might be better off with smaller, more geographically diverse ones.
The Carolinas got pounded pretty hard first quarter, and they do a lot of work there, so I'm looking for second quarter for better results. rr

Geo, As you well know, S.E. Power was the red-haired step child during all the other ventures over the years. Finally, after the RE crash, it received the proper development it deserved and at just the right time. It now has over a $100 M run rate and is ready to rock. Remember when I urged you to buy at 30 cents and you said, "No, no, no?" Today you have the good fortune to be able to make a great buy again. Alas, I know your answer. Enjoy your silver mine. rr

  • 10Q 3rd Qtr page 14: "Service agreements are typically multi-year agreements and we include in our backlog the amount of services projected to be performed over the terms of the contracts based on our historical relationships with these customers."

So how many years of estimates are we talking about? Two years? Five years? Do some contracts have a different number of years remaining? I'm having a hard time trying to figure out the relevance of this number other than to make the backlog look very large.
