    Bad news must be coming.

I didn't say EBITDA, I wrote earnings before one-time charges or OIBDA if one wants the acronym. Co.'s don't normally spend their money "at the bank." Of course, you're just a troll, so I won't be responding to you again. Too bad yahoo did away with the ignore feature in their austerity move.

If you believe that joshua1779, you should sell immediately, regardless of your loss ( I'm assuming you haven't already sold). What matters is revenue, earnings before one-time charges, guidance and the cash burn, if there is one. Their large paper loss on the machinery sale, if taken this quarter, is of no consequence to the stock price.

    Terrible Stock Price Action

What they sold, machinery, wasn't done to obtain money from its sale. It was sold because Kemet isn't in that type of business, only got in that business because it was included in an F&E acquisition and most importantly, it was grotesquely unprofitable. They might well dump all of F&E but it will be because it's unprofitable.

I think KEM will make its eps target but is likely to miss on revenue slightly. They're also likely to guide revenue down slightly for next quarter. I certainly could be wrong.

Ranadive is at best a disingenuous blowhard, at worst, he's a ...
From his co. profile: "Mr. Ranadivé watched a documentary on MIT and was inspired at the age of 16 to leave India for Cambridge, Massachusetts, arriving with only $50 in his pocket. After earning both a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the MIT ..." Incidentally, obtaining only a master's at MIT means he failed at their doctorate program. Unlike most schools, the only graduate EE program at MIT is the doctorate.
Also be sure to check out the New Yorker article on him coaching his daughter's basketball team. Despite the fact that six of the eight girls "had never played the game before," "weren’t all that tall," and "couldn’t shoot," he coached them into the national championships.
I wonder how much he leaves out -- as well as fabricates -- of these stories.

  • Not only that but they don't do anything to spam messages when someone flags them. They used to do that. Yahoo had better wake up to this problem that has gotten much worse.

  • Last Wednesday, this stock was still trading above $5.60 after lunch. Then, on mostly below average volume, it has dropped over 9% to close at $5.09, a price it hasn't seen in over 6 months. I don't have a clue as to what's behind this move. I'd guess nothing but I'm hardly an oracle for this stock.
