Well-I'm an ex-smoker. I quit almost 30 years ago when there weren't any of the 'aids' they had now. If you wanted to quit, you quit cold turkey. I'll admit I did have some motivation-they removed a fatty tumor from my back and I had to wait for a few days to see if it was cancerous or not. It wasn't. That's when I stopped. In this day and age, with all the help that's available to smokers to quit and they don't, then shame on them. I have absolutely no problem owning MO and RAI in my portfolio. If people want to keep smoking, I'll keep making money off of them. Same with alcohol. There's some inherent risk in drinking. I have held Brown-Forman in my portfolio in the past. I have no problem with any of the 'sin stocks'.
