Nobody expects it to you idiot. There was nothing released that changed GFS revenue expectations. This is a slow process of building awareness and showing that the management is engaged. Why don't you go invest in something more your speed like J & J? Then you can come back and brag about your 2% dividend.
I can't believe I'm trying to explain something to a #$%$ again, but here we go. Look moron, this is a speculative investment. People are allowed to own more than one stock. Most people already own big companies like apple as their core holdings and then have a couple speculative plays like this one. So for you to come here and brag about a company worth half a trillion dollars being succesful like you're some kind of genius is idiotic. In other words, it's what we've come to expect from you.
I'm in shock. It's a start. Keep tooting that horn, Hill. We'll get there!
CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Dec. 4, 2013) - GASFRAC Energy Services, Inc (GFS.TO) is an oil and gas technology and service company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta and the sole provider of waterless gelled LPG fracturing technology in North America.
GASFRAC is pleased to announce that we have successfully completed a Hybrid LPG fracturing treatment for Terrace Energy in the Eagle Ford formation in Maverick County. Terrace recently issued a press release commenting on the results of this fracturing technology stating:
"This successful use of hydrocarbon-based fracturing fluids represents a significant advancement in the development of the Eagle Ford Shale in the "black oil" window, which is defined by low gas-oil ratios found in the northern extension of the formation. Previous attempts, by other industry participants to develop commercial production in the black oil window of the Eagle Ford Shale, were made using high volume water-based fracturing fluids. This technique has generally not been commercially successful, despite the formation's rock properties and hydrocarbon content, because the formation's shallow depth and lower reservoir pressure make it difficult to recover and unload the large volumes of water used. Testing results to date indicate excellent formation productivity and there is no evidence that water resides within the formation."
James Hill, CEO, noted "This is a significant result, further demonstrating the value of GASFRAC's Hybrid LPG and engineered fluids advancements."
He also noted the recognition of this technology as one of the top 25 technologies of the year by Time Magazine and it's nomination for an Edison Award.
He is still listed on the SNWV website. Maybe this is something that could be cleared up in a legitimate PR - unlike that fluff #$%$ that they've been putting out lately.
I could tell you that I'm 96 or I could tell you I'm 9 - you don't know what's true so why does it concern you? I am a little worried why you're so interested. If I told you I'm a 9 year old boy, would you try to get me to meet you somewhere, weirdo?
Noone's talking about a PR campaign that is fluff, but when there is material news to report, or a chance to toot your own horn a little bit (like with the Time thing), then DO IT. Your way is not working. Look at the #$%$ share price. Why would anybody buy now when they know there is no chance of any catalysts to support the price in the next 3 months? They wouldn't and they aren't. You are really OK with a company that does not release news - ever? Really, moron?
Also, noone's saying that a PR campaign can save the company. At this point, with so much mis-management, it might be beyond saving. But why not give it a try?? How does it hurt to try? When what you're doing clearly isn't working, try something new! Based on last quarter, this company lost $50k today and it lost that yesterday and the day before. It will lose that tomorrow. So just plodding along like everything is on track is not an option. We are bleeding out in a very real way and the clock is ticking. So why not try something new??? Now I'm done talking to you, idiot. You are a waste of my time, and I have to go make more money for Jim Hill to destroy.
Snort, seriously. Are you Jim Hill? If not, you must be the only two idiots left that think it's not important for a small company trying to break into an established industry to promote itself. If you are, then you are the only idiot left.
6 week chart is ugly, 6 day chart is ugly, 6 hour chart is ugly. yet Hill the Hermit CEO sticks to his silent policy. god forbid, a little publicity might bring in some new investors. how can they not even #$%$ acknowledge that the biggest magazine in the world has given them a gift? it's not about the numbers right now! it's about the #$%$ story! shut up snort.
He can't go back to the private board. They are complaining about the lack of marketing/PR there as well. Poor snort. Nowhere to call home.
If they can get some mileage out of this news + a modest contract and this thing gets back up to 5 in a hurry. That's a big IF, but this has "story stock" written all over it, and the balance sheet becomes a whole lot less important with a story stock.
Since you have a history with Hill, how about calling him tomorrow and encouraging him to make the most of this Time magazine thing? I think this has the potential to be huge. I think this could be the catalyst to turn things around. But it's got to be seized upon by this company. They should be putting a package together right now to send to major news organizations. They should issue a PR tomorrow. We should see Hill on cnbc being interviewed. This legitimizes GFS as THE solution to all the problems with water fracking and the media is dieing to come up with a different side to the story. What do ya' think, Allsteel? How about being a hero here?
Please, please tell me that even the GFS management won't sleep on this one. That they'll release some kind of PR acknowledging and thanking Time for this honor? Please tell me that even these guys recognize that this is a chance to garner some attention? Please?
".. and suggested people hammer him (Hill) about nepotism on the conference call."
Show me one example where I did this.
Hill obviously knew it was something people were questioning as it was the very first thing that he said on the CC. So if that's the case, why was it left until the CC to address? Why not nip it in the bud when they released the PR announcing her hiring? Oh wait, that's right. They didn't release any PR's on that. We had to let google provide us with any and all info on any updates here, because the company sure as hell won't. When I sent an email to investorsATgfs asking if she was related, why didn't I hear anything back? If people were thinking that this was nepotism, then that's because THE #$%$ COMPANY DID NOTHING to correct them, even though they knew it was an issue.
I don't like people stealing from me. Do you? I've had investments that haven't panned out before, but never because of such gross incompetence. That is unacceptable. I do my job, I'm assuming you do yours. So why is it OK for these idiots to NOT do theirs? How is that an unreasonable expectation? Hill's JOB is to enhance shareholder value. Do you think he is doing that? Do you think there are simple things he could do that might help create interest and possibly new investors?
Come on, Ken. We're talking the CFO of a micro-cap company with shrinking revenue. How does throwing the CFO 100k shares incentivize her? She's going to count EXTRA hard? Or make EXTRA sure that her numbers are right? That's a joke. If this had been for some hotshot sales person or a bad#$%$ CTO, then OK. Incentivize away. But a CFO??? If she's at the level that she demands options to come on board, then i'm pretty sure we could have found some accounting student to count the lousy $100 mln a year in revenue without having to give away 100k shares. Again, something very stinky going on here, but what else is new?
It'd take something a helluva lot strong than that for me to put another nickel in this turd. Everyone KNOWS that we won't hear a peep for another 3 months, so why let your money sit and wither when there's no chance of any catalysts? It's truly #$%$ amazing that a company can be run this way.
Sickens me that Loree has gotten rich out of this. At least he hasn't been caught dumping many shares, but still, guy should be a greeter at wal-mart instead of enjoying a cushy retirement based on his horrendous mis-management. We'll see. Nothing to do now but see what happens. Revenue or not, still SO much more that could be done to help the pps, to demonstrate an engaged and active management. This hibernation tactic is just absurd for a company that should be trying to find the spotlight, not hide from it.
