I think solar has a future along with the other renewables (wind, water, biomass, etc.). Only question is in what form, at what price and with what incentives.
I shorted at $61.20 and $60.75 sometime back and am still holding. I missed the $37 cover day not being near a computer (extremely ill).
Just watching the analysts give thumbs up, the company give earnings reports thumbs down, Telsa/Solar City/SpaceX/Elon Musk buy each others shares to prop things up and wondering, in the end, about the retail consumer with the 20 year second mortgage on their houses with fixed increases every year.
Technology is moving quickly, will the panels be outdated in 2-4 years? That is even well before the cells deteriorate to being non-productive before the end-of lease?
I just remember the Prius hype. Then they found 80% of first time Prius owners buy a different car when they are done with their first.
