Those pipeline deals should be ending in the next 2-4 years. Does anyone have the dates?
iper Jaffray Remains Bullish Following Cirrus Logic (CRUS) Investor Meeting
9:31 AM ET, 05/15/2015 - StreetInsider
Piper Jaffray maintain an Overweight rating and $44.00 price target on Cirrus Logic (NASDAQ: CRUS) following a recent investor meeting. Analyst Ruben Roy believes that there is potential to gain from product diversification. Continued execution should drive multiple diversification. Roy commented on the meeting, saying, "We continue to recommend CRUS shares following recent investor meetings we hosted with CEO Jason Rhode. We view CRUS as a strong technology company with multiple longer-term growth drivers as audio and related technologies will increasingly be used to differentiate mobile platforms in both the high-end and mid-range markets. CRUS approach, in contrast to most of its competitors, is to cover the entire audio signal chain with best of breed products. We believe that this approach will drive market share gains for CRUS as its customers will increasingly benefit from a more efficient BOM." Roy also added, "CRUS acquisition of Wolfson remains one of the key themes behind our positive investment thesis. Over the next few years, we believe that a primary growth driver for the company will come from the ability to add content such as boosted amplifiers into customers that are using Wolfson designed codecs. As CRUS further executes on its product road-map strategy, which partially entails migrating some its high-end codec technology into various devices that target the mid-range of the smartphone market, we believe that continued customer diversification will follow as the company will be better positioned to compete into the rest of the top-10 handset OEMs. By designing various audio components together, CRUS can make its system solutions more efficient, driving lower overall BOM costs for its customers and its own market share higher. Longer-term, CRUS believes that audio functionality that it is working on today could extend to applications b
I hope so, but I don't think so. I think Jason's sale has capped us for the short-term. I think the blast off occurs at a later point this year.
It is rather stunning how much attention CHK gets from the analysts. They want to update us when they want to lower their targets by .10 from $12.10 to $12.
Northland Capital Markets Bullish After Spending Time With Cirrus Logic (CRUS)
8:16 AM ET, 05/13/2015 - StreetInsider
Northland Capital Markets maintains an Outperform rating on Cirrus Logic (NASDAQ: CRUS), with a price target of $44.00. After spending time with Cirrus, Northland feels a lot more positive. CRUS is benefiting from a number of market dynamics, and Northland believes that Cirrus should have ample opportunities for upside in the next 12-14 months. Northland analyst, Tom Sepenzis, commented on one of the key points, saying, "Samsung recently shifted its Galaxy S6/S6 Edge flagships to its own internally produced application processor and radio. Cirrus was the obvious winner with the smart-codec win, and we believe this will be the first of many such wins. Samsung is currently winning at the high end, with QCOM forced to throttle the performance of its 810 processor to deal with the overheating issues. It seems reasonable to assume that Samsung will look to further the use of its own processors and radios in multipleother platforms moving forward, and that heavily favors CRUS for the audio portion as QCOM will not be there to compete." To be honest Groop, I sold half my shares at $36.60 because of Jason's sale. I bought my first stake in almost 2 years at $23.50 in January because of Jason's purchase, FMR and some other fund going in over 5-10% positions, and the strength of AAPL sales, and the Wolfson merger leading to major successes. However, one thing I have noticed very clearly with this stock is that Jason usually has a great grasp of when to get in and out. I still think the stock has meaningful room to move forward and think it's headed for that old high of $45, but this $3 million sale gave me pause. I had shares at $23.50, $26, $31.80, and $33.25 and unloaded half the position and took some profits. My target is still $45, but I am a bit more cautious now.
This board is becoming unreadable. Not sure why the longs are beginning to act like paid longs like the paid shorts.
There's no reason to give some of us misinformation.
Why did you turn from a good poster to a sunshine pumper? I'm long 15k shares here but come on, there is nothing useful to this board if all you do is pump for no good reason. There are plenty of reasons to pump CHK here as well.
2016 or 2017. If they are done in 2016, then the wind is behind CHK's back for the most part. We're counting down the days until Aubrey's ridiculous deals are done with.
NXPI and SWKS down about $3. For those who want buying opps in CRUS, take advantage of these times. 6 months frmo now this is likely over $45. I just bought some for a day trade.
Anonymity breeds stupidity. Your four responses make me wonder if you were one of the test subjects who forgot to take some his pills.
If a CT is extremely common, then why is this the first one EVER granted to MDGN? If it's so common, the company should be filing multiple CT orders per year.
Apparently it wasn't CHK that was identified and he's actually more bullish on natural gas. Who knows though, he could be short CHK with that significant interest ramp over the last 2 months.
