Can you post a link for this week on investor village board? I can't find it.
I've had some pretty good picks over the last 10 years.
some bad, most were good
I bought SIRI at .16, sold at .33 (100k worth)
still wish I had that one
bought ELNT years ago 1999 I think watched it go from 4 to 130 (I sold at 80)
bought VNR at 6, sold at 24
UVE at 2, sold at 5
IVR at 20, sold at 14 (ouch)
ivr and snta are my largest losers though
I've always believed technical analysis of stocks ONLY works for companies with bottom line fundamentals
SNTA has NONE
it is purely speculative
catching a falling knife is always hard, for sure.
I've got a bid in at 15.20
.05 increments down to 14.75
I really hope it doesn't hit
also this kind of a drubbing on the stock I think isn't because of compensation
I think it had more to do with rebalancing and NRF becoming more of an equity reit than a mortgage reit, and also the fear of rates going up.
unless mr market knows something is happening "operationally" with NRF
dividend cut? sure hope not
if they cut it, this will be in the low teens overnight
I bought in 2009 (if memory serves at 8 and change.
sold at 24 about 2 years later
kicked myself as I watched it go to 33
sure glad I got out when I did.
I should have sold all when shitaker left
she was loaded up with options.
if the company really had "exponential" upside like those here suggest
why not stay and sit on 500,000 options and wait
even if you didn't like working there, missed your family, hated the area, etc etc
she exited because she didn't think those 500k options had any potential
should coulda woulda
I will exit completely if the price gets over 2.20 again
I owned 222,000 shares of this a few years back with a cost basis of 2 and change and gave up on it and sold (around 4-5, can't remember)
I almost doubled up but didn't wait for it to play out
this is the only biotech I have ever invested in
I'm pretty well diversified
mostly reits and tech stuff
I had it on my radar and I bought in when they hired shitaker
thinking that the stars were lining up
I honestly think she left because she saw the writing on the wall
that there's no chance of getting any fda blessings anytime soon
if they don't get some sort of fda blessing
this thing is toast
equity funding will be off of the table
I guess they will fire sale the company because the company cannot operate any longer without massive massive dilution (who's going to buy the stock on a secondary if it is trading at $1 or below?)
