Norm, you are amoung the ones that can take a BB&T statement and gather info from it I can not. I consider myself a person with average or better ability to read and understand things. You are better than that and I appreciate your take on things. I have owned a more than average amount of BB&T stock for over thirty years. It has provided me with income to make my retirement years (22) more enjoyable.
It appears, based on the latest postings to this board, it is a waste of time to to take the time to read it. At one time one could get some good information from some well informed people. That no longer is the case.
BB&T has had a number of quarters now with increased earnings - yet no increase in dividend for the stock holder. I hope management has a good reason for this !!!
Kelly King speaking to the NC Bankers meeting in Hilton Head stated "We have a lot of people in Washington trying to ruin our country." He urged all people to stand up against this group.
We the general public can help with this by carefully selecting the right people to send back to Washington this fall. This applies to both parties.
Norm, Hope you have a great vacation and when you come back you will still share your knowledge with this board.
I'm heading for Wilmington and a visit to the USS North Carolina (BB-55) this weekend.
I wish we had more like Noem on this board that shows the knowledge of the banking market and is willing to take his time to share it with us.
THANK YOU NORM!!!!
You are right I am afraid. Let us all hope after the election this November government will not be telling a company I invest my own money in when and how much dividend I can receive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe I can answer my on question - 16 cent dividend - that is why. Others are as upset as I am. Look out for another big salary increase at the top!!!!!
It seems that every time BB&T has good news to report the market their share price falls. This has been going on for some time. Is their a reason or is some group trying to control BB&T's price?
Norm, I too want to thank you for your very informative post about BB&T. I have been a stock holder of BB&T for over thirty years. Your post normally are very close to 100% on the money. Since I do not understand the stock market and am to old now to learn I trust your thoughts. Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
