Ive written about this a few times before .Depending on the objective, exploring, producing, construction, buying or selling they will be plenty of benefits because of the more relaxed gov't regulations Los Azules will have the biggest impact and san jose will benefit as well from increased exploration..good results translates into good market results
Joint venture would make more sense...but imo that wont happen either...the merger will involve a operating mine...need to get to 600k...we will be at 300 with eg2 and gold bar...thats the ticket to robs ultimate goal...he may seem alot of talked but give him a opportunity he will deliver
The market has quietly given us the " bottom " which is immensely important and it is making the sector work more efficiently in many ways.... once the cycle turns, the window of opportunity is open for a short time. Everyone is basically lining up there ducks. Just to speculate, besides EG2 the next big event for MUX will be a M&A once the stock value escalates. The goal is 600K Au EQ/YR.. This will occur sooner then you think...
5,000 seems impossible, including myself mainly because we are living through the panic, emotional up's and down's and all the manipulation. Which makes it very difficult even considering 5,000. But if you blow all the smoke aside it may be in reach if you consider all economic problems that is building up. The non-believers said the same thing back in the 70's, gold went from 35 dollars to 900 dollars. In the a 4 year span it went from 100 to 900.. I think we should all stop slamming McEwen because he may end being right.
Thx AMX, I want to be considered very good at what I do. I read some of your post and I can only wish I could be as moronic as you...Thank you again!
Let me tell you what the real good news is. Since this sector has hit bottom, mux market value has increased 65 percent with two impairment charges of 200 million, Argentina geopolitical headwinds and basically being stagnant and doing nothing....Now imagine what will happen when they go back and actually look at the rock you are speaking of
It is just a write down of the accounting value assigned to it. Accounting values and market values aren't one and the same so no it doesn't affect the asking price. Its not good on paper but when we start throwing money back into Los Azules the " accounting" value will start growing again, remember TACA TACA is alot closer to production then we are. I actually think TACA TACA was sold close to a premium considering the geopolitical events and less then stellar demand for copper. If they waited till 2016 to sell they would of gotten alot more for TACA TACA, reduced country risk would definitely be one of the larger impacts for Los Azules
They fear deflation more then inflation because Interest rates are at zero, thus no tool to combat it. The plan is allow inflation to creep up and to have interest rates noticeably behind the curve...bullish for gold
That should of been the headlines news last week in relation to the broad market. Yellen has mentioned numerous times before including during her last visit with congress that the FED will be looking at the employment cost index in considering raising interest rates...it took a spike up in last week employment report to .7...this is the main reason for the recent dump in the equity market and gives you a idea what would happen to the market if the FED actually does fractionally raise interest rates...it will not be pretty!!... gold has declined as well because of the same fear of rising interest rates, but has shown much more resiliency. This is the reason I'm invested in the gold market...Inflation is rising and the FED is stuck...Any rise in interest rates will pop the bubble
Strategically can be fun times in a bad environment in which to work in. Much like opening up umbrella stand making lots of money in a middle of a rain storm.
Seems to me mux wants to run. Holding up well. In short term look for the default to cause further problems tothe peso and to push mux profits higher.until inflation catches up.
Got it..just read it in todays q2 report. I guess at 431 million valuation its over book value now which makes a impairment a consideration. The sale of taca taca has changed LA valuation from 431 to minus 100 million approx... remenber though LA is in a much earlier stage then taca taca
As you know, I'm no soccer fan," said President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, while standing next to Messi and Argentina manager Alejandro Sabella. "I didn't see a single match, not even the one yesterday (on Sunday). Even so, I called Alejandro (Sabella) because for me, and for 40 million Argentines, they had won the match."
