I do not know if anybody has noticed but the October 60s have opened with about 50,000 contracts in the last week and another 5000 today. Makes me wonder if it's a hedge against any upside or that the stock is about to take another leap forward. Does anybody have any thoughts about this?
Don't just read headlines. If you read the transcript you will realize that it is truly a company in transition. There revenue model is changing and it is growing. I don't like that it is taking this long but it is. I use voice to text all the time. It is coming because its much easier. READ THE TRANSCRIPT NOT THE SPIN FROM HEADLINES. GOOD COMPANY, CHANGING REVENUE MODEL, GROWING. If apple where to take this service away I would be angry because I am lazy and don't want to type.
Carl cannot do anything while he has board members. He bought up to his maximum of 20% he cannot exercise any more of that until his board members leave the board. So what is the guy going to do let his options expire in January, remove his board members and buy more, he doesn't have any choices hardly.
I own 60000 shares so:
Sell half 30000 shares before earnings?
Sell covered calls Aug 18 for 50 cents against half the position?
Buy 600 puts for .9 Aug 18 expiration?
Possibly a spread trade?
Do nothing and let it ride?
Thoughts from the Board
Thank you in advance!! Todd
Tweet Carl. I do all the time he never responds but I tweet him all the time. Tweet him. Let him know how this criminal steals from this company continuously and doesn't really give a damn about it. Let him know how Apple buys DRE headphones for 5 billion and they won't pay a nickel for Nuance which is crazy. I use Nuance all the time, because I don't type, I never learned in high school, and it's far easier to voice to text!!!
The standstill period will not be over until their board member is no longer on the board:“Standstill Period” shall mean the period beginning on the date hereof and ending on the later of (a) the conclusion of the Company’s 2014 annual meeting of stockholders
(which the Company agrees will be held within 30 days of the anniversary of the 2013 annual meeting of stockholders), and (b) the date on which there is no Icahn Designee on the
Did anyone hear the news about the rail car accident today in Washington? I think this is going to set us up for take-out offer from Berkshire Hathaway. They want to dominate the transportation industry and rails are too dangerous for oil and gas. That means that Warren Buffett is probably going to point his elephant gun at Williams. This is my pure speculation but this board may remember my speculation when the stock was in the 30s. Back in the 30s I said there was something unusual going on with this company and here we are. I would not be surprised if this company shot up to $80 a share on a takeover offer from Berkshire Hathaway. Does anyone on this board have any thoughts about this? If so I would like to hear them.
So upon death there are no capital gains and the stock gets transferred to your relatives? That's interesting can you explain?
A chicken head how have you been. Long time no hear. Hey have you heard from Richard Aspenwall at all? I hope to hear from him I'd like to thank him if he's ever around anymore.
Has anybody noticed the increase in volume the last hour of trading on the stock. Totally bullish we're going higher boys I predict $80 plus by the end of 2016. I also think that buffet is going to take this company out because he needs to dominate the transport industry. He already has rails now he needs pipelines. It's just the way he thinks he's an industrialist.
Nuance Communications Inc.(NASDAQ:NUAN) acquisition talks have been slowed by deal complexities, sources tell dealReporter. The WSJ reported on June 16 Nuance (presumably with Carl Icahn’s blessing) is exploring a possible sale, and has held talks with P-E firms and Samsung.Among the likely challenges facing a deal: Nuance’s product line covers markets ranging from healthcare (still over half of op. profit) to mobile to enterprise, and a buyer may only be interested in parts of the business. Also, the fact the company’s software and services support a wide array of platforms (iOS, Android, Windows, etc.) means a sale to a suitor such as Samsung could alienate some existing clients.
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of Nuance Communications (NUAN_) are down -3.55% to $18.61 as potential private equity buyers of the company were held back from purchasing the company due to its complex licensing agreements, sources tell dealReporter.
If you think it's overpriced then go short. Don't sit here and convince us all that we should short it, you should short it and get rich
