Why are we not talking more about this potential purchase. This is bigger news than anything out of this company in 2 years. Can someone who knows more about Recurrent weigh in here? Thanks

Recurrent Energy is one of North America’s largest solar project developers. Since the company’s founding in 2006, Recurrent Energy has developed and sold more than 520 MWac / 682 MWp of solar PV projects, won more than 1.1 GWac /1.5 GWp of power purchase agreements, and secured more than $4B of project debt and equity financing.
Recurrent Energy is currently developing utility-scale solar PV projects across North America in key solar markets, including California and Texas, with a solar project pipeline exceeding 3.3 GWac / 4.3GWp.

  • WOW that is a very bid deal. I am thinking that is why the stock was up the last half of the week.

I am long this stock and certainly not rich. I have no short interest nor have I ever in CSIQ. I want it to go up. But this board is spending all its time defending what happened. It sounds like a my houston texans. everyone talked about how the defense could not stop the bangles but fact of the matter is the offense didn't score enough points.. I am just saying we need to use this board for everyone to help each other and talking about shorts etc is not helpful. The real question is should they do a yieldco and why or why not, how will they hedge currency or if they currently have a plan what is it? Is the sune model a good one to consider?

I don't think so 8 % short before earning maybe 10-12% now. that will be in reaction to the share price not the fundamentals. Its the buyers people. Where are they? They are on the sidelines plane and simple and I agree with the other poster most of the sell off was over the Barron's article. that guy made alot of folks alot of money. If he is wrong it should start coming back. But we have some weeks before that happens. If he is right the selling will persist.

I have been listening to these theories on why the stock is not taking off. Believe me I want it to run. But maybe just maybe there is no conspiracy no illegal practices no warren buffet but rather its that there are more sellers than buyers. Carlyle Group has sold 500k to 1MM shares since its initial purchase according to Yahoo, so its really that simple. Why are there so few buyer? That is the Question we should be focused on. Maybe because Solars trade on forecasted sales and wall street has been burned badly by this volatile moving group once before. Maybe the other solar's are offering up more assurance that revenue is going to grow by expanding like SUNE recent purchase and commitment to yieldco and that is what they want. Give them what they want unless we don't have it....but right now I know we do so CS must hear wall street and give them what they want. Or what happens? Stock will not move higher unless the forecast is proven up. This last report was great in all areas but two...no news on anything new that will create a competitive advantage and no revisions higher on Earnings.
