You may be right, someone(s) has been steadily and methodically accumulating shares. This type of accumulation usually is done by institutions or experienced investors with deep pockets. A case can be made that the stock has been way oversold and undervalued. I hope that something serious is going on. A good deal for a joint venture or a sale at the right price would be great.
I wish that there were some constructive comments would be posted on this message board, it has been very quiet.
Your point is well taken. If you noticed, I said NQ MAY have done........ We MAY find out in the future IF they did anything (minor) not totally according to the "books". (IMHO).
In my opinion, at this point in time these conclusions can be made about NQ:
1. The business is real
2. Their products are real
3. Their cash is real
4. The company MAY have done certain things that were not conventional or totally right but those are not "deal breakers".
5. The institutions that bought more NQ shares AFTER Muddy Water report came out must have done some serious DD and were convinced that their funds were well invested by buying NQ shares (or more of it).
6. There are risks associated with ANY stock and NQ is no different.
7. Because of MW's report, for the next several months at least, investors and traders will have more tendency to sell as soon as any negative news comes out (true or fabricated).
8. Like any other stock one should not put all or most of his/her funds in NQ.
9. Those of us who are willing to take the risk have a chance to make above average return on NQ shares (reasonable returns nt pie in he sky numbers).
10. Regardless of MW and the short sellers attack on NQ, we still have market risk, industry risk and company specific risk with NQ.
(IMHO, long NQ, do your own DD).
It seems that the shorts are very determined to stop any rally in NQ stock and keep it down, they know if it picks up momentum it has the potential to go up several points. In my opinion the ultimate solution to this situation is an offer for all the shares from a company with deep pockets. Let's say if an offer is made at 22 per share the stock may go up to 17-19 immediately and many of the current shorts will be forced to cover quickly and the current situation will be resolved. I am not predicting that an offer will be made I am just sharing an opinion. (Long NQ, IMHO, do your own DD).
dan da man.....
Show some class if you have any! No reason for name calling, especially names that you have been called all your life! Grow up!
The majority of posts on this board are meaningless predictions (longs and shorts). NO ONE knows for sure what a stock will do the next day, next week, etc. No one can say the price WILL be at such and such price by such and such date. NQ is in a tug of war for now and most likely will move based on the news in the near term. Those of us who are long can potentially make big $$$ if the clouds are lifted and the reverse will be true for the shorts. Please post meaningful information/analysis if you have any.

New Drug Effective In Treating Iron Deficiency Anemia In Patients With Chronic Kidney Disease On Dialysis
Comment Now Follow Comment
Based on early studies, an investigational drug, Triferic, is both effective and well tolerated in treating iron deficiency in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) undergoing dialysis. Physicians from the North Shore-LIJ Health System presented late-breaking data about Triferic November 9 at the American Society of Nephrology’s Kidney Week 2013 in Atlanta, GA.
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is characterized by the gradual loss of kidney function over time. The primary function of the kidneys is to remove excess water and waste products from the body. When CKD reaches an advanced stage, dangerous levels of electrolytes, fluids and other and harmful byproducts can accumulate in the body, making it essential to place a patient on hemodialysis. This involves use of a large machine that filters wastes, salts and fluid from the bloodstream.
What does shares traded have to do with making payroll?
Someone(s) has been accumulating some shares for the past few months. This can be for a number of reasons. The piece of land owned by DHCC has some value. It is a raw /undeveloped land, once something is built on this land it should have more or much more market value. The management of the company has not been able to put a deal together or sell pieces of the land to add to shareholders' value. They came close to a deal a few times but for various reasons it did not happen. The land is located in a very good area in terms of traffic that goes by it each and every day( Highway 10) and about Two miles of waterfront. Potential is there, what is needed is a deal maker and an investor (s) with deep pocket (s) to make this piece of land a money maker with or without a casino(s). The potential is great or perhaps huge! (IMHO, Long DHCC, Do your own DD).
If you post information like that you MUST show a link, article, etc. You can't just make claims like that! No credibility! Remember, you may cause people lose a ton of money!
The 480 PE for RVBD that I mentioned in my post was according to yahoo finance as of 10-29-13. You may have more updated information, however, RVBD's current PE I assume is much higher than SILC's current PE. This could be interpreted as either RVBD is overvalued or SILC is undervalued or both.
Riverbed (RVBD) is one of SILC's larger competitors. (Market capitalization of more than 2B). Currently RVBD's PE is about 480!! And no doubt they don't have the growth rate of about 50%. If we apply same PE to SILC the share price would be more than $800!. This is not to say that SILC will/should be $800 per share but it would give us an indication of the potential price increases for SILC in the future. The best scenario, continued growth in sales and earnings at least 25-30% per year, PE expansion as the stock becomes better known and a few well timed stock splits (the first one is overdue). Of course like any other investments there are risks. (IMHO, long SILC, do your own DD).
Really impressive!!! Such a wise person! It's a shame that you work as a paid basher for next to nothing!!!
You (janicen) are so wrong that is not even funny! You don't even know what a ponzi scam is! I doubt if you are able to short any stock yourself, you are most likely a paid basher and you most likely get paid by the number of posts you can come up with! I hope your master shorts many many SILC! Talk to sanjay (if you both are not the same person!), he left bleeding badly!
The more you write/post, the more you show how much you don't know! To be enlightened about SILC talk to other shorts/bashers like sanjay! You are barking up the wrong tree!
By posting untruth nonsense your problem will not be solved, next time don't short a stock just because it has gone up a lot. Look at the fundamentals. The same forces that took the stock from 16 to 42 have the potential to take it from 42 to 70 or beyond. Lesson learned, I hope!
I share your concern about the possibility of SILC being bought out before it's "prime" but to a large degree that will depend on the management and major shareholders. I also agree that lack of liquidity in the stock keeps some major players from investing in the stock and a split would be helpful. However, a 3 for 1 in my opinion would be too much. At current stock price a 3 for 2 or a 2 for 1 would be more realistic. Hopefully the management will pay attention to the need for a split while they are doing a great job in growing the company. (IMHO, long SILC, do your own DD).
Hang on to your short positions and pray!! You may learn a very expensive lesson. You will not be posting here much longer. The emotional pain subsides when you cover and the financial loss will be forgotten over time (may be in a year or two depending how large your short position is)!!
See if you can come up with any other negative points about the company. See if their parking lot at their offices needs repairs and post negative comments about it, that may cause the stock to come down a few points!!:-)
