Just a few short miles from Sea World San Diego you can find research labs that "consume" multitudes of guinea pigs, mice, chimpanzees (when they can afford it) and believe it or not, some species of dog. They call the facilities that house these animals vivariums, and the practice of killing them....vivisection. Sea World has agreed to house their Killer Whales for the balance of their lives...whether they perform or not. I applaud Sea World and condemn PETA for doing little or next to nothing to address the slaughterhouse Biotechs of San Diego County.
I like that analogy....but what about this....An extremist has a Hamilton Safe at his "compound". It's loaded with sensitive stuff and the FBI wants Hamilton Safe to assist in cracking it without damaging the sensitive material inside. Shouldn't Hamilton Safe be bound to assist? With a fee of some sort of course, we aren't Communists here.
Half the amount of Playstations.....HALF. No wonder Stevo retired.....
I believe that climate change is real, I disagree that there is actually something that can be done about it at this late juncture. We crossed the "tipping point" around 1986 or so...roughly 30 years ago. So what we need to concentrate on is adapting to climate change, don't fight Mother Nature, adapt to her. Modify crops to thrive in warmer temperatures, desalinate more ocean water to compensate for droughts etc. etc. etc. It's cute hearing the scientists spewing the outright LIE that the tipping point hasn't been reached yet, giving people the hope that they can do-something about it. It's the same as quitting smoking AFTER you get lung cancer, it helps, but won't change the inevitable.
Just have to wait for the Chipotle Toxins to work their way through his system
Dr. Peter Venkman: This city is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions.
Mayor: What do you mean, “biblical”?
Dr Ray Stantz: What he means is Old Testament, Mr. Mayor, real wrath-of-God type stuff.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Exactly.
Dr Ray Stantz: Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies. Rivers and seas boiling.
Dr. Egon Spengler: Forty years of darkness. Earthquakes, volcanoes…
Winston Zeddemore: The dead rising from the grave.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together – mass hysteria.
Gotta agree with that.....Cramer is having too-big an influence on him. He's a journalist first and an entertainer second, and with Cramer it's the reverse.
I proclaim him guilty of treason and would encourage the Federal Government to assemble a firing squad and have him executed. In the spirit of William Tell, they should put an Apple on his head before they fire and keep firing until someone misses.
But the FBI knows different....it's just Apple doing their theatrical version Sargent Shultze, "I know Nut-ing"
Interesting how they want to take a division they SAY is successful and spin-it-off and separate itself from it.....cast it away to the markets like flotsam and keep a royalty on sales. YUM China is either so mismanaged that they will no more tolerate it, or the numbers being reported are just plain fabricated. A lot of things in China are fabricated and I'm not just talking about cheap electronics.
Both firms took huge gambles on the Paper Dragon.
Yeah, there's no negotiating, they quote.....you pay, end of story. You'll learn that if you find your testicles or go to the Dealership with someone who has testicles, you can save A LOT of money going that route. CarMax is and will always be for the lazy folk who just swoon over negotiating.
They give their product away....that's how.
Anything to get somebody, anybody to take these $649 IPhones off our hands. Hiding a price drop inside a juicy trade-in program is pretty clever, wish I'd thought of that.
Never liked it at all.....and especially didn't like the way the site used my IP address to "report" me like a tattle-tail to any member I ever searched for, by sending them messages...."Do you know So and So?" A horrible intrusive site that actually sucks the life out of itself.
Apparently the filthy employees with their tattoos and piercings have poor hygiene. These "kids" aren't washing their hands enough. Perhaps they should try hiring adults.
The year is 1816, Tambora had erupted the previous year dirtying up the atmosphere, and the result was the "Year Without a Summer". Really cold temperatures, crop failures, people (not knowing it was a one-and-done event) fled New England thinking that if it could get THAT BAD in New England, I had better get outta here. It sped up Colonization of the continent significantly. So it's real, or are you saying that didn't happen?
It wasn't his or her service to government that caused the Agent to attempt to unlock that phone himself, it was owning an IPhone his or herself that developed that arrogant, know-it-all attitude that is so pervasive in the Apple EcoSphere. Same thing you see at the Genius Bar, where some snotnosed kid tells you he knows everything about everything, except how to use Proactive to clear up his face.
Reminds of Qualcomm's lame argument about how "secure" CDMA data packets were in the cellphone universe. Like anyone, anywhere would find your conversations remotely interesting. Now,on the other hand, if you're cheating on your spouse, or planning the overthrow of the United States maybe encryption tech might be a concern to you. Apple needs to comply with this court order, or I would like Tim Cook arrested for treason.
Good luck trying to repatriate all that machinery and equipment from China....and when you finally get it back have it cannibalize your domestic sales. The sins of the past are being visited on the present....were all those China sales in 2011 really worth it?
