Yes, Spock has that Lost in Space Robot quality to him. Do you remember when the Robot would come up with the wildest facts on space phenomenon that he couldn't possibly know about? "Danger, Will Robinson, Gateway to alternate dimension appearing, time disruption imminent, Danger Will Robinson Danger." And all we could say was....that's some intelligent Robot there.
We really need to cancel EVERY INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT immediately.....just lock this country down.....do it now. Or call Morgan Freeman and he'll nuke everybody. Rent Outbreak on DVD, you'll know what I mean.
Nothing like a lethal pandemic to stifle demand and reduce air fare prices. Would you fly right now if you didn't have to? Prepare for fare wars, there's going to be lots of empty seats.
You know, I was watching this Southwest commercial where it shows a series of headshots of the beautiful Southwest flight personnel and I said to myself. Look at all those beautiful people and there stuck in a flying tube with an epidemic going on. THEY COULD NOT PAY ME ENOUGH.
And instinctually, WE ALL KNOW THAT. Airplane travel and Ebola is a toxic combination.
The BBB gives Uber an F grade. Surge pricing is blatantly dishonest and exploitative. $300 to go 21 miles and Uber actually thinks it can avoid public relations Armageddon when that happens to a customer. Google should've floated the Uber IPO while they had the chance. Uber is imploding.
When reality sets in for investors that Plains Energy and McMoran Exploration are going to eat up ALL the earnings of Freeport for the next five years, this stock will crater to 24....not exactly sure if it will stop there, but I'd cover half my short at that point.
Sure, WE the people of the United States are driving down the price of oil because of Vladimir Putin's Ukrainian tango....haha. This is a paradigm shift in the price of oil, it will never see $100 per barrel again.
With oil collapsing, it's no wonder the stock is getting hammered.
In 2012, Freeport overpaid SO BADLY for Plains, they need to write-down 2 Billion RIGHT NOW.
From Bloomberg....December 2012:
Investors questioned the company’s decision to get back into the oil and gas business 18 years after its operations were split between metals mining and fuel production. Freeport, based in Phoenix, fell the most in more than four years after announcing the plan to buy Plains Exploration & Production Co. (PXP) and McMoRan Exploration Co. (MMR)
You go into one of these gambling dens and it's Las Vegas for kids. Instead of jackpots, there are tickets and a prize store. Flashing lights and music-playing gaming devices are everywhere, prepping the kid's for real action when they turn 21. I wrote a letter asking our local D&B's be closed for violating gambling laws, but D&B skirts the issue with their gimmickry.....clever men over there testing the boundaries of the law
What really got my goat was....the way that the HumpBack Whale God's Planet Killing spaceship just heard some whale song, packed up and left. Just like that, no explanations, no further communication. Oh Whale Song....OK, off to the next planet where we put some whales long ago and if they're not there, everything else on the planet DIES. Hitler HumpBack Whale Creatures is what I would call them....
So true, the analogy that I am making with the descendants of African slaves really doesn't apply. Maybe I'm making a Star Trek analogy. Remember Star Trek: The Voyage Home....what a schlock fest that movie was. The premise was that if a pair of humpback whales weren't taken to the future to satisfy the HumpBack God's spaceship, the Earth would be destroyed and the talking monkeys that killed off the Humpbacks would be extinguished. What a Greenie premise. I won't spoil the ending, it's so anti-climactic, I won't need to....it spoils itself.
Good one.....and you can go back to school and maybe a science professor can explain the difference between Humans and Orcas. Apparently, analogy between carnivore species is your only argument .....do they still eat dog meat in Vietnam? Yes, whenever they can.
Since ONLY 2 of Sea World's whales have ever experienced open ocean, how are they expected to survive? You have 40 whales BORN IN CAPTIVITY. They don't have the mental tools to survive. Keiko (from a Mexican facility not affiliated with SeaWorld at all) was returned to the ocean and was miserable for what remained of his all-too-short "free" life. If they had sold Keiko into the Sea World system, today he'd be in Orlando bathing in the adoration of the human monkey-people that adore him. You people are long on criticism and short on answers.
That's a real leap.....but glad you brought it up. There are tribes in Africa that used to practice cannibalism, so I guess a slave owner could've argued that he was saving his slave from being lunch for a neighboring tribe. Right now, life in Africa is SO BAD, if you try to tell an American Black person today that they are reaping the real benefits of first-world living from the sufferings of their ancestors, some would agree, others would be offended.....not because it isn't true, it's that you said something that should've been left unspoken.
A real eye-opener. A pod of Pilot whales comes along a shallow bay where the whale hunters are hanging out in Kayaks, the politically correct Brit Producers referred to the whales by only their Inuit tribal name.....ridiculous. So these Inuits, in order to comply with their hunting license have to kill the Pilot whale using only traditional methods (natively crafted Harpoon).....causing the whale some real agony, but the cameras are rolling, you have to comply with the regulations. They also stated that they have to "take" a whale at the tail end of the Pod and hope the Pod doesn't notice, because if the Pod notices, they will join the hunting victim in death...that's how sensitive they are to their compatriots. I got the impression these Inuit creeps have wiped out entire Pods in the past. Then, believe it or not, they use most of the blubber to feed their dogs...yes, a dead whale is dog food for their Huskies. You know, I just don't get-it. At Sea World, if you could jump into one of the whale's minds for just a couple of seconds while she was performing, you would see that these whales are reasonably happy or as happy as a whale could be. They take pride in their work, they enjoy their human trainers and their affections. Sea World is their home and why posters are struggling so hard to serve an eviction notice really baffles me. An eviction notice is a death sentence for these noble creatures, don't you GET IT?
Those are American's passengers, don't be a miserable, germ-spreading rat. Stay home, under your covers and wait for it to pass.
Or some poor person on a long flight with a chronic cough....better load up on those throat lozenges.
