Valid point....everything that isn't patented is subject to being squashed by a bigger player. But then you've got this guy named Dyson, who came out with a vacuum cleaner that put Hoover and Eureka to shame. O'Leary would've screamed "nobody's gonna pay $500 for a vacuum cleaner". Somebody needs to tap that drooling has-been on the shoulder and say, YES, people will always pay for the better mousetrap.
Yum management is also clueless.....they need to close 1000 Chinese KFC's right now. Closing your eyes and pretending those disasterous outlets don't exist, is not healthy for the company. When Target figured out their Canada investment was a disaster, they GOT OUT and never looked back. And those selfish Canadians can sit in their yellow, urine stained snow drifts and rot.
He said Disney could sell ESPN separately from the CableCasters, like the way you can now buy HBO separately and Disney could make oodles of money doing-it. But he said "it wasn't necessary" There's money on the table, but he feels it's not worthwhile to pick it up....strange.
