Agreed as well, I have never been a fan of UAW or Unions in general but since the raise cut back, hiring freezes (for full time), hours cut and now the 401K scam I have managed to get 75 signatures of people that want to meet and listen to see if they can help negotiate to restore raises, provide a living wage and fix our retirement. I know 75 isn't many but it's a start. If DC's can get involved it will trickle down (I hope). Well guess we will wait and see what is next on HR's radar to "help" the bottom line.
Profits going up moral going down, More and more top people retiring or just leaving, More people looking to leave every day. 2% cap on raises, push on only hiring part time to replace full time. Stores are told not to replace people who leave & now they are messing with the retirement plan and employees no longer get the benefit of employer match during the year. Instead of that money growing in an investment they choose to hold it for ransom and only pay the match once a year, but only if you stay employed until Jan 1 of the following year. It seems that they will do anything to show big gains and the new HR leadership is driving people away. So I know ORLY will continue to show gains but it will eventually bite them in the end. More and more people are talking Union every day.
