  • DOJ RICO investigation into the trading of DDD stock. If Jefferies is involved there is a good chance there will be indictments and criminal charges. The founder of Jefferies pleaded guilty to criminal activity , at least two employees of Jefferies have been prosecuted for criminal activities, its in the DNA of Jefferies to conduct criminal activity.

Ole Willie Briscoe can jog around the block looking for ambulances but the real story will be bagging the criminals manipulating the stock

    Sentiment: Hold

  • Jefferies has agreed to plead guilty to two criminal charges of fraud. In addition, he has settled, without admitting or denying guilt, civil charges that the SEC filed against him. The SEC accused him of trying to manipulate stock prices and "parking" - in effect, hiding - stock for Boesky.

By a 2-1 vote, a panel of the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York said former Jefferies Group Inc portfolio manager Joseph Contorinis must give up $7.26 million of alleged illegal profit that he made for the firm's Paragon Fund, plus $2.42 million in interest, in an SEC civil forfeiture case.Contorinis, 49, is serving a six-year prison term following his October 2010 conviction for securities fraud and conspiracy

Former Jefferies & Co. Managing Director Jesse Litvak was convicted in the only criminal case against an individual in connection with a U.S. program that used bailout funds to spur investment in mortgage-backed securities.

Litvak, 39, of New York, was found guilty by a federal jury yesterday of all counts including securities fraud

ROFLMAO, 80% of the acquisition value? Stick to parroting other people's hyperbole. ----------

Geomagic is a leading global provider of 3D authoring solutions including design, sculpt and scan software tools that are used to create 3D content and inspect products throughout the entire design and manufacturing process.
Appears Geo has use in all segments of their business. As for the 3X sales, that was sales for first year. Do they become obsolete after one year? And perhaps you might view Intel's run at Altera at 15X sales

CRDM and RPDG combined cost $50.8MM and in the first year added $21MM to revenue. You want to write off 80%? You're a funny fella. Not much of an analyst but a real chortle. In the future can I call you "CHUCKLES"?

RPDG: On May 1, 2013, the Company acquired certain assets and liabilities of Rapid Product Development Group, Inc. (“RPDG”). RPDG is a global provider of additive and traditional quick turn manufacturing services. RPDG’s operations have been integrated into the Company’s Quickparts services and are included in services revenue. The fair value of the consideration that will be paid for this acquisition, net of cash acquired, is $44,500, of which $33,250 has been paid in cash and $6,750 has been paid in shares of the Company’s stock
On August 20, 2013, the Company acquired CRDM, Ltd. (“CRDM”), a U.K. provider of rapid prototyping and rapid tooling services. The fair value of the consideration paid for this acquisition, net of cash acquired, was approximately $6,399 based on the exchange rate at the date of acquisition, all of which was paid in cash. CRDM’s operations have been integrated into the Company’s global Quickparts Solutions custom parts and manufacturing services revenue.
And so they paid $$50.8 MM for the pair and revenue increased by $21MM , What? They didn't get a 3times return in the first year? Oh the humanity of it all.

So Slugger, how much should be written down since they didin't hit a grand slam with the pair of investments? Why?

So let's first begin with correcting your hyperbole once again. 40MM + 40MM = $80MM ,not $100MM I see you continue to struggle with basic math.

Next we'll correct your haphazard attempt to post value:
ROCK HILL, S.C., Feb. 27, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 3D Systems (NYSE:DDD) announced today that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of Geomagic, Inc. ("Geomagic"), for $55 million in cash.

Then we will point out that Geomagic was only expected to increase revenue by $17MM,"The Company expects Geomagic to be accretive to earnings and contribute approximately $17 million of revenue " and has nothing to do with QuickParts
So how much should be written down and why?

Yes I recall that, however each one I rebutted and you could not articulate a response to support, your "because organic growth slowed" parroting. I believe we went through about 10 different acquisitions and for all 10 you offered zero analysis, just the same parroting you read elsewhere. But for the benefit of Yahoo readers who probably didn't see the exchanges how about you post just two and offer your analysis of why they need to be written down with something other than what you've read elsewhere and parroted. Provide your FIRST original thought.

BTW, SA removed my profile because I refused to bend to their coddling of you and your baseless and unsubstantiated plagiarism. I have many e-mails notifying me they removed my comments and I fired back at them for being complicit in your spreading unsubstantiated claims. Apparently they didn't like being bluntly told they are supporting frauds like you.

Here's your chance to become famous son, just 2 acquisitions and supporting argument why they need to be written down.Impress the readers with your analytical prowess.

I'll check back tomorrow for your exposé

So now that we demonstrated you don't know much about the other site or how they operate, let's get back to the topic at hand, you've had several months to do your research and analysis. Which company/companies will DDD have to take write downs for acquiring and why?
You're going to have to do more than plagiarize someone else or toss about unsubstantiated commentary. You are essentially a parrot , you read someone elses comments and parrot them without clue or understanding. i suppose you're trying to impress others with your analytical prowess however you have to do more than flap your gums. Support your argument , reveal your data that leads you to your conclusions. Do something besides parroting and plagiarizing.
==========Yahoo has refused to allow me to repost the e-mails I received from the other site ( 5 tries without success)but I'll keep working on discovering a way to post them to show how little you know. How many of the e-mail notices of deletions would satisfy you?
BTW, the beginning seems misplaced because I had to truncate the first 5 tries due to yahoo repeatedly refusing to post the e-mail

I have a few dozen of those if you would like to see them all, knowitall
Now how about yu tell the readers here wich acquisition will need to written down and why. You have had 4-6 months to research and analyze all of them. Do more than parrot and flap your gums. Impress us with your financial analytical prowess. Or just keep plagiarizing and flapping your gums.

  • First let's let the board in on the facts. You wrote a few articles on SA the content which was all PARROTING and plagiarism not a single original thought did you pen. I called you out numerous times for it and then you started parroting the nonsense about write downs. In fact your entire thesis for shorting was that they would have to write down acquisitions. 8 months later there hasn't been a single write down and you're beating your chest s though you had it figured out. The truth is you didn't and still don't have a clue. You're trolling articles published by people with short agendas and attempting to peddle them as YOUR ideas.

You insisted that since SSYS plunked down $500MM for Makerbot and it turned into garbage that any and all other firms would have to do the same. IT HASN'T HAPPENED.

This stock got crushed NOT because you were right, your next original thought will be your first. This got crushed because shorts were wiling to dedicate enough money into shorting it to do s they typically do, destroy stock values. They have done a good job of it but please do attempt to take credit for the decline, you served as a parrot and little else and still didn't get the analysis correct.

This game is a long way from being over DDD isn't going anywhere but up from here and in 12 months investors will realize 100% gains and still DDD will not have written a single thing off
