Ya, we will see if it actually closes with this 30% increase for the day. I miss the old excitement of the Ultra Deep Shelf prospects, even if it didn't/hasn't panned out very well.
The only upside that I see possible in the near future, is if either of the two new rigs get contracts. Other than that, it will more than likely keep in a slow decline. Better start converting these rigs into storage vessels!
That's not even funny to joke about. This is stock trading, get a freaking life.
It will take them many more years than 5-6 to reach 1000 stores at an opening rate of 8%/yr. EPL is already trading at a premium as if it is going to grow....so it has to grow. What growth company would not plan to grow? Reading this thread title makes my head Loco.
Is the grilled chicken at Chipotle not healthier than the grilled chicken at El Pollo Loco? I have not hear LOCO say anything about using hormone/antibiotic free chicken like CMG does.
What about the 2015 restaurant sales growth guidance of 3-5%, is that a decent number for where LOCO is at?
A much nicer dine in restaurant like Berryhill Baja Grill. This is a chain in Texas. Check them out. This is just one off the top of my head. $3.25 would not be bad in my opinion if it was not a fast food restaurant. Hopefully, my experience with the dry shrimp is uncommon. Most others on here have reported the shrimp as being good.
Heck ya, as long as people are buying them like hot cakes and their ingredient pricing is favorable. I hope the shrimp is a slam dunk for our sake. This is my first earnings report for being a LOCO investor, so I'm crossing my fingers. Good luck to everyone after the close today.
When did they start selling the shrimp? I thought it was not until this year, which would not contribute to the last quarter's earnings. It would be nice to get some raised guidance though! I had one shrimp taco at my visit last week, and it cost me around $3.25. You could go to a nice restaurant and get tacos for that price, and the shrimp won't be as dry. Next time, I will look at what the price is for an actual shrimp meal, and I am sure it will be easier to swallow.
I saw the sad news of this yesterday, but had no idea the well was owned by Parsley until just now. It looks like a small well servicing company (Mason Well Service) was operating their workover rig in Upton County when the fire/explosion happened. Of the 4 men crew, 3 were killed. All three were related to each other. OSHA will be investigating the incident as soon as the well is under control and the site is safe. Thoughts go out to the families of these hard working men. Sometimes it's easy to overlook the men behind the energy companies we invest in. They are the ones putting in the long hours, the hard work, and unfortunately at times...their lives.
If you do a bond in the Eurozone, how much does it cost them to bring that money to the US? The rate might be lower for the bond, but how much will it cost them if they are going to use the money over here? Wouldn't it make more sense if they were using the money overseas?
Time of day, actual location...please think about how helpful your post will be before posting. If not, it ends up being as useful as the "This stock is going to $50" posts.
