Glad to hear about your Mom! It has worked in the past for me as well. I do not think we can get any reimbursement after purchase.
I hope that lie_spy is correct about getting Belviq for $75.

My case has been documented and was forwarded by Arena to Eisai USA. I have not heard back yet.

Perhaps we should complain on Facebook or something. Maybe they will reimburse us if we make a little noise. I don't mean the kind of ignorant noise you find from the low-life FireJackNow club on this message board, you know what I mean.

Just came back from independent pharmacy. There was disagreement between the 2 pharmacissts about whether there was a $75 price for cash payors of Belviq. The assistant called Eisai while I waited, I heard her say "representative" three times, after a long time she said Eisai had shut down due to tech difficulties.
The assistant showed me her computer screen, it said $152.83
They said they would try again if I can come back on Tuesday.
You can't make this stuff up folks.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Took my Belviq prescription and my Belviq savings card to WalMart.
    I am a cash payor.
Was told the price for my 30-day supply was $227.83
    [Should be $75]
Checked with the pharmacy manager, she confirmed price for Belviq is $227.83
Called the Belviq Eisai website number and was told there is no $75 for Belviq, I am mistaken, there is only a $75 off the retail price, with insurance.
Called other WalMarts and was quoted the same $227.83.

So Eisai and Walmart are costing us Arena shareholders a lot of sales.

I am leaving now for an independent quality Pharmacy in my town that was aware of the Eisai $75 cash pricing policy for Belviq.
    They have it in stock.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++
    From Belviq site--
"2. AND NOW if you don’t have commercial coverage for BELVIQ® or if you pay cash for your prescription, use the savings card to pay no more than $75 each month."

Sauve9 note-- you do not ever market the same dollar amount as dollars off and also the new price.
"$75 off or $75 dollars for the whole shebang, it depends" is a confusing message

Well now if someone were smart -- and there are not many here who fit that description -- well if someone were smart they might want to think about things you know kinda ruminate about all their acquired Arena Pharmaceuticals knowledge while others were cryin to their momma and leading some mouse brigade they might look at a calendar, probably one that says "2015" at the top

I know, we are having fun here.
Tone of board is interesting, kinda crybaby nasty, nobody interested in getting down to business here, except for secret agents filing papers and bugging offices.

Guess my fellow investors who blame the share price 100% on management are not interested in incremental changes.
Changes such as the CEO Jack Lief being replaced by Tina Nova as the new Chairman of the Board.

    Committee Composition

    Tina Nova Lead Independent Director

    From elsewhere--

    The Lead Director Role

The lead-director role grew out of amendments to the New York Stock Exchange listing requirements (the commentary to Section 303A.03 of the NYSE Listed Company Manual) to require listed companies to have non-management directors meet at regularly scheduled executive sessions without management, overseen by a "presiding" director. This requirement combined with the increasing trend and pressure to increase board independence and separate the chairman and CEO roles led to the popularity of the independent lead-director role.

Not only has the lead-director role grown substantially in popularity, it has also grown in the amount of power it typically holds. Although the role is not universally defined, many see it as an alternative to having a separate, independent chairman and accordingly attribute most of those responsibilities to the lead-director position. In its most basic form, the lead director is charged with leading the board's independent directors to engagement and consensus, ensuring that independent consensus is heard and implemented.
