    There went 40%

Trolls like ambertopaak9 and stockdeath are probably kids who have no money in the game and nothing better to do.

That being said, I was very disappointed by the announcement. I thought it would either remain at 20 cents, or maybe get cut to 10 cents. Companies like ARP, MCEP, and even LINE seem to be maintaining their distributions. I guess we can only wait for the earnings announcement and the call, but have to believe right now things are a lot worse than we thought until I hear different.

NSLP management needs to improve communication too.

Picked this thread up from somewhere.

Could this just be hedging, although the price they are hedging at seems to be weak which in itself is scary?

See that the first half of the duo you mention is still posting big time. Never say an alleged long as happy to see losses as zappa.bull. No idea what happened to jim.jones, maybe parents cut him off the internet service or changed the computer password.

Well hasn't looked good for awhile, but nice to see Friday even if only a one day blip.

NSLP has a better balance sheet than most in spite of zappa's notes to the contrary, and while a cut in the distribution wouldn't surprise me, I have been surprised that some of the others are holding theirs. CMEP has some similarities and didn't cut theirs.

  • You would think that things were as bad as they say that most these MLP's and offshoots like LNCO would have cut earlier. Some will attribute the lack of cuts to poor management, and they may turn out to be right. LNCO moved though pretty quickly to cut the first time around, although admittedly with a lack of clarity as to where the savings were going. However by now it should be apparent to most if things were as ugly as the market indicates that they would have cut the distribution and dedicated that to debt reduction to hedge their bets. Again given the market, I don't think a MLP that declared and followed that strategy would get hurt too bad in the market.

Just raising a point, something doesn't make sense here, either the market or management.

Actually today's is bigger than Jaguara.

It's sort of confusing if CIG isn't going to operate, who will and how is CIG compensated if at all.

It also sounds like this is not a done deal legally.

  • scamhunter9111 by scamhunter9111 Jul 1, 2015 1:38 PM Flag

What impact do these court decisions on the concessions really have? They look a bit ominous, but then the stock is so cheap? It seems to be a fair part of the generation, but a small part of the total. Also if CIG owns the plants outright, not exactly sure what this means.

Unfortunately we have a new troll on the board, it used to be a nice quiet board other than loopy.

I doubt if anyone is bitter, it's just that none of us have any use for the board trolls like you who have no skin in the game, sort of like ambulance chasers.

I don't how many of the naysayers are sincere, and how many are just tjhe usual brand of Yahoo trolls, but this is what I see.

The debt is better than most, and default is unlikely. I think this is pushing it.

Regardless though, the balance sheet is not all that strong unless the properties are now undervalued due to the writedowns, meaning that I don't see flexibility for any significant acquisition without putting the distribution or even the company at risk. In other words you can have either the distribution or an acquisition but not both.

There is little out there that would indicate that things have improved since guidance, and that a negative surprise is more likely than a positive one, although I don't think either would be huge.

I'm in between the $4's and the $6's and think NSLP is somewhat undervalued at this point but obviously needs a change in energy prices to push it up past this point. A cut to 10 cents would not shock me, but hopefully the money would be used to do something good.

Aren't you allegedly long and holding at $13 per a recent post you did,. If so you should be laughing at yourself?

Either you're a fool or a liar, pick your choice.

Pathetic really describes the trolls here, none of which of including yourself have any significant position in LNCO (don't lie, OK). I get tired of the trolls/liars on all various boards saying they are long, but for whatever reason the stock is going in the tank, Doesn't take much to figure out there are either an idiot or a liar, and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and presume you're not an idiot.

Most LNCO longs do have valid concerns, but they don't need the pathetic trolls with no skin in the game posting endlessly stirring up the pot..

    Your right.

I have never understood why there is one of these on every board, or why they all think their act is unique. They seem to be from a relatively common strain of troll.

I'm not sure what's going on with LL, but they do have very low debt.

I don't care though if the "trolls" turn out to be right or not, they just seem to buzz around looking for pain like flies buzz around poop. After all mike_masin alleges he called the drop in CHK from $31. Frankly I don't care if the stock once traded at $31 or if the broken clock turns out to be right once in a while, I only care where it will be trading in the future.

These articles seem so weak when they get down to the reasons for their opinions. Usually 4-6 at the end of the article, I notice that several of the reasons are repetitive, and:

    1) About half the negatives are based on past performance. Whatever happened to buy low, sell high? I've never understood the value in some of the momentum stocks like Priceline, Amazon, etc., but these seem to be the stocks they tout, and they have done well. However, they are also late to the party if these crash and burn.

    2) Most the rest is based on recent earnings comparisons. Duh, that's why the stock is down, isn't it.

I almost never see significant forward looking content in these articles, just a report on what already happened.

Think you're a quarter off from what I meant, although I understand your interpretation.

My reference to 2nd quarter was the one already paid in the 2nd quarter of 2015 announced in April, the 3rd quarter would prob. be announced about the end of July, but as I said this is where I think it's nothing we can depend on.

I sold my LRE at $8.71 shortly after the announcement after getting the LRE distribution cut news. Still short some Aug puts, but sort of hard to close it out at this time. Don't forget VNR carries probably 3-4 more monthly distributions with it before the merger where there is no clarity if anything more is coming from LRE because of the inexact closing date and fuzziness overall in the details. Explains at least some of it.

Would help if LRE would tell us what 3rd quarter distribution plans are versus the merger date.
