    Agreed, very good indeed.

Big .05 cent move yesterday. Must be rare to get that kind of increase.

May Mr. Gundlach have a long and prosperous career! Selfish I know!

I forgot the underlying assets in the fund can increase (or decrease) in value. So it remains to be seen how much of the increase is paid out in dividends. To realize the full value gain you would have to sell your shares so you collect the value of the increased share price as well.

I believe it works like this.....The price after the June dividend was 11.18 so the next dividend will be the difference between the price on the ex dividend date July 30 and 11.18. So if it was today it would be 11.30 - 11.18 = .12 cents dividend.

    Why is NAV so stable?

    by dennis-allen Jun 27, 2012 5:49 PM
    scared_to_post scared_to_post Jun 28, 2012 9:17 PM Flag

"The dividend accrual frequency for theDoubleLine Total Return Bond Fund is monthly. Income accrual is reflectedin the NAV each day. On the last business day of the month, when thedividend is paid, the NAV of the Fund will be reduced by the amount of thedividend payment. As you allude to below, this change may be offset inpart by fluctuations in the market value of the underlying securities. You have selected to reinvest your dividends. So, on June 30th, youwere credited additional shares. Morningstar’s “yield”is not the dividend yield. The dividend yield fluctuates monthly but hasbeen around 7.5% for the past two months. "

    Questions:
    1. Why does the fund drop on the last day of the monthnegative to the same amount as the dividend? Other bond funds just pay adividend at the end of the month and there is no drop. If the dividend is paidon a daily basis, shouldnt it just be paid on that daily basis but no drop invalue at the end of the month?

    2. Also if you paid me $1,000 in dividends on a daily basisthroughout the month, but the fund drops by - $1,000 at the end of themonth it looks as if I didn't actually get paid anything. I know I receivedmore shares by reinvesting but thats really the same thing: $1,000 worth ofmore shares, but $1,000 drop in value that day. Can you further explain this?

Response from Doubline "1. There are bond funds that accrue a dividend payment daily, butthere are an equal number that accrue dividends on a monthly (or quarterly, semiannually) basis as DoubleLine does. For DoubleLine’s TotalReturn Fund, the daily NAV includes the value of the portfolio including itsearnings. Every day there is a positive contribution to the NAV thatreflects the income earned by the portfolio. An investor who sellshis/her shares mid month receives his/her share of the income for the timeperiod owned by the fact that the NAV includes all the earnings accumulatedsince the last dividend payment.

    2. Below is an example to demonstrate how the dividend processworks. To highlight the dividend, this example assumes there is no change tomarket value of the underlying assets. As you can see the NAV at purchaseis $11 and the NAV at the end of the month is again $11. During the monththe NAV rose to $11.07 to reflect the earnings generated by the portfolio anddropped back to $11 after the 7 cent dividend was paid. The investorreceived an additional 63.64 shares and the ending value of the investment is$700 more than the investor’s beginning balance.

    Purchase transaction/Beg of month
    Nav 11.00 Shares 10,000.00 Value $110,000
NAV Prior to 7 cent dividend 11.07 Shares 10,000.00 Value $110,700
    Payment/Reinvestment of Dividend 0.07 Shares 63.64 $700
Ending Balance/End of month Nav again back to 11.00 Shares 10,063.64 Value $110,700 "

Check this out.......Friday my 64 year old neighbors and I went for a bike ride. We live in St George now. My friend's wife crashed. She is ok. One of the men who stopped to help gave me a ride home with our bikes. He said he lived in St George but worked in Milford. I asked him what he does..........are you ready?.........he runs the geothermal power plant. I told him I had been following Raser since they switched from electric motors to geothermal. He said two of his employees used to work at the Raser plant. I asked him his opinion about what went wrong and he said they never proved the wells. They just drilled. He said there isn't sufficient flow. Any good attorney will subpoena former employees to get information like this. His plant is air cooled using over 50 fans. He agreed he thought it was a scam based on the poor engineering.

Thanks Roost. I wonder how much of the 100 million was paid to companies Higgy had a hand in? Would help the defense if they could prove this. If the accusations can't be proven there is a Slander case to be made.

Of course! Now we can all testify on Higgy's behalf. We should all be ashamed for accusing Higgy and his chronies. The poor guy was cheated and was never trying to mislead our deceive anyone. Ya think?

Higgy in jail or house arrest with an ankle bracelet? If he is found guilty the mormon church will give back all thetithing from his misdeeds.
The LDS church has previously returned tithing payments from members found to have violated the law.
But in his mind he has done nothing illegal or immoral.
Even if a Judge finds a crime was committed he still will never admit to it.

Are people buying and selling to close out positions? Why else would anyone buy this now? It has been an interesting journey and I am reminded that scammers do profit until they eventually make a mistake that puts them in jail.

The only way to find the board is if you had it bookmarked/favorite OR you go to another message board then replace their symbol with RZTI.OB

    http://messages.finance.yahoo.com/mb/ORA

    becomes

    http://messages.finance.yahoo.com/mb/RZTI.OB

I have a feeling GE may not be technically minded. But Yahoo will make the board follow the new symbol soon and GE will be back. My family thinks I'm angry, GE is over the top. He seems bright enough, but violates the Yahoo board ethics almost every post. Hence the numerous user IDs. I just wish he would make it a top priority not to use the word retard in a derogatory fashion. There are many other words to choose from: silly, ignorant, dope, stupid, dumby, crazy, foolish, etc.

I still can't believe KH got $180,000.00 of the money that was left in the pot. If there is a God he better smack KH down, and hard.

Soon you will be able to buy the company so why waste your money now at .085? PollyAnna says keep up the positive attitude. You might lose all your money but hey at least you are happy.

Earnings Announcement needs to be changed to Financial Condition Announcement. That way companies like Raser won't feel bad never reporting any earnings. KH should give the $180,000.00 back he stole from the company and stockholders. That alone is worth a class action lawsuit and SEC action. May he pay the "price" someday for his greed and self promotion.

Oh that is why we paid him $180,000.00 when he left. He earned it with that one brilliant idea. The only idea he had that actually made us money.
