"without severence" ha ha ha! good one. what country are you living in? they'll get a terrific golden parachute if they were ever to be let go...
as for the IBB, true, biotech is taking a beating in general, which is why these "investigations" are so sinister...they've obviously been on ice until the most opportune time to release them, taking advantage of a broad sell off, already in progress. its smart and corrupt but probably not illegal...and i guess the argument could be made Geron left the door open for them...but really, i feel these "forces" whether hedge, MM, Incy lobby, or whatever...would have found another way to block and knock no matter what.
...are the [curse word] who hire these lawyers to drive the price down? "investigations" is legalese for "mud". "let's hire a few firms, announce some "investigations", drive the price down, cover our short positions and go long"...or some such drama. only remedy is to ride it out and sit on your shares (or buy more)...nothing has changed with the science, treatment results, partnership, etc...
also, i wonder how many MMs post during their idle time misleading [bad word] on this silly board?
oh, i see, so in a perfect world, every company's shares go down exactly in proportion to how many shares outstanding and price per share...and so you expect the market to perform in an orderly fashion and each company would have an identical percentage either up or down...huh...lmao.
scarlett must be a powerfully bad speaker to cause ALL the biotechs to go down 5% in one day...or your logic is skewed.
ONLY if they sell...which, being LONGS as you yourself pointed out, SHOULDN'T be the case...so NO ONE really gets burnt...except for the SHORTS who may hold out for too long thinking todays price action is indicative of where the stock is headed, rather than a general market shake down that will reverse in the LONG run.
its true...though Salinas doesn't normally grow almonds, that's further south along the I5 in the Central Valley. Salinas grows more strawberries, artichokes, garlic...stuff like that...than trees.
I love almonds...though each almond takes 1 gallon of water to grow...and California grows more of them than anyone else in the world...considering their drought, go figure!
also, your comment makes you sound like a short, Beavertail. Maybe just exasperated? Because the drop in share price today is clearly due to a sector wide sell off rather than anything GERN or it's CEO are culpable.
so you must work for some biotech association to know what all the other biotechs think of GERN...which is interesting, because the friends I have that work in Biotech -- either as researchers or in startups, etc., have no such opinion of GERN. Can you tell me who you are talking to?
And which pigs? The Wright Brothers? Took them years to get to get a plane to fly, true enough.
charts don't mean much to me with these speculative plays...i suppose they could be useful for day trading, but these biotechs are driven by news events more than anything else.
you give posters on this board waaay too much credit for affecting the share price one way or another. how many people who buy shares of any stock check the yahoo message boards first to see if that's a wise decision or not? not many -- and if they do, they deserve what they get. get a grip, jackdaw...yahoo message board accounts for NOTHING. the real players in NY and elsewhere do actual research, listen to the news, talk to their brokers, etc., they don't base their million dollar buys and sells on some jerkwads on yahoo pontificating about all they do NOT know...myself included (both in knowing nothing and being a jerkwad with too much time on my hands).
besides the only ones of any interest on here are irish, taz and a few others who actually know their science and post about it.
all the conspiracy theories and name calling are just tiring.
oh, and Facebook isn't just for dates -- its a place to show your kids to their grandparents, to post political rants, show funny videos of cats, and waste more time than even this board!
nice follow-up, thanks! and yes indeedie-do, someone else DID notice and posted a picture of it with a line over the top of the three tops...but no other explanation...and within hours of your post. so i put 2 and 2 together but sadly got 5.
They're probably waiting on a big press release until they start enrolling patients, and aren't saying anything now so as not to steal the thunder of the bigger news (enrollmwnt/start of new study)
Anyone else think the 24 week mark, if met, will be when JnJ / Janssen applies for breakthrough / fast track? After getting slam dunk evidence? And that the American P2 will be a basket study that ALSO includes the parameters of the Euro/Asian study? Just guesses of course.
Also, recent pps a upward action goes back to April 24, when new PII was listed...someone was on the ball
