To me Wall Street will reward the companies that are actually drilling right now in the Buda. Until XCO actually drills a well and announces its results I don't see them getting a lot of upward traction in their stock price from the Buda. MCF and USEG are they way to play the Buda now. XCO and MTDR when they drill.
Now, much higher than anticipated natural gas prices could create huge upside for XCO in the near term. I understand they were only half hedged for 2014.
Go Google the article "4 Stocks Profiting From The Buda Oil Sweet Spot" or go to the MCF board or the USEG board on Yahoo where the article appears. XCO is one of the 4 stocks mentioned. The article indicates the PV-10 value in the Buda Sweet Spot is $100,000 per net acre. You have to go to the links and do the math yourself.
Does anyone have an idea of how many acres in the Buda XCO might have? Does anyone know what their Farm-Out rights are with Chesapeake?
