lakeed has also claimed that Hitler was a Christian. If lakeed believed in Satan, he would say that Satan is a Christian because Satan believed in Jesus and read the Bible. lakeed is clueless when it comes to knowing what a Christian is.
Refiners may be a good area to watch. Independents like Valero and Tesoro, who have no oil production of their own, might benefit from cheap spot oil prices while the oil *majors* who have both refining and production might decide to invest in storage options to support higher oil prices...
I often buy from the $1 value menu. If FRO goes to $1 it would be quite a bargain. Time will tell. I will join you in the sucker line if it happens. Otherwise, you can stand in the sucker line on your own, mr strongtoaster.
Thank you for your dissertation on the role of the IRS keembo. I don't disagree.
The one point you missed is that the IRS is expected to treat all equally in their enforcement of those *vague* policies, without political favor or penalty. In this case, the IRS was found to treat *perceived* conservative groups in a punitive manner while treating liberal groups in the normal manner. President Obama stepped up and said it was wrong of the IRS when the problem came to light in the public media. The question we all have is, could the IRS have acted this way on their own without inside support or direction from the White House? If yes, we have a serious systemic problem with the IRS. If no, we have an abuse of power in the White House. Either way, we have a problem that many on the left would choose to ignore...but would be screaming about if the political roles were reversed.
Actually keembo, rogere's post is speculative at best about anyone *eating crow* since the investigation is still ongoing. There is no question that the IRS targeted conservative groups, contrary to what rogere posted. The only question being investigated now is whether or not the White House directed the IRS to do so.
As far as lying goes, we are still waiting for any of you on the left to respond to the following quotes from the Liar in Chief, which were recently listed on this board on another message:
"I'll close Guantanamo Bay in my first year as your president.",
“If you like your doctor you can keep them, end of story - period!”
"Afghanistan is the war we should be fighting and the war that we must win"
"I will restart relations with Russia"
"I will restore the worlds faith in America"
"Syria's use of chemical weapons will be a red line for us"
"Obamacare will save the taxpayers billions once implemented"
"We will not deal with terrorists"
"I'll unite the people of this great country."
“If you like your insurance you can keep it”
"We will get to the bottom of this unacceptable IRS abuse"
" So let me be clear: we cannot cede our leadership in space. That's why I'm going to close the gap, ensure that our space program doesn't suffer"
"We can see the benefits of my stimulus package right here at Solyndra"
I used to let my bank "manage" my IRA account and see it rise and fall with the market, with the bank taking their management cut no matter how the account performed, but my own account did not really appreciate to my satisfaction. This past year I took control of it away from my bank and have more than doubled it's value. I won't let the bank and the general market make my investment decisions for me again, and I don't give Obama any credit for the buying and selling decisions that I made that resulted in my gains this past year. Good luck to all of you fellow investors in 2015. May it be a wonderful year for those who are willing to put the effort into taking control of your own financial destinies, regardless of whatever the government does.
LOL lake, on this board we have to learn how to determine intent IN SPITE OF poor spelling. "Thou shout not" attempt to correct spelling errors. Mary Crissmiss.
So, in your perfect world, who would you like to see as our next president...mister galacticist. If you don't have a favorite person in mind, what platform principles are you in favor of?
Part of the reason for the high fuel prices in Hawaii is taxes, at 66.5 cpg on gasoline and 74.5 cpg on diesel; among the highest fuel taxes in the USA. In comparison, we in Texas pay 38.4 and 44.4 cpg. FYI - I saw Regular today at 1.89.
rami, FRO did indeed bounce strongly above 2 dollars earlier this month, for the reasons that you gave. The writing was on the wall. I sold over half of my 1.65 shares last week at prices from 2.50 to 2.90, mostly above the 2.70 mark. My remaining shares amount to my "profit", and I am holding them in hopes of selling above 3 over the next month or so. I was way overweight in FRO in my account, so I personally will sell off more shares before buying any more and use the proceeds to diversify into some other stocks - preferably some that offer dividends. If and when FRO drops below the 1.50 mark, I may try to average my position down a little more. Once FRO gets over her debt hurdle in 2015, I will be ready to load up for what will possibly become a 6 to 8 dollar stock in the next few years. My concern is that some kind of restructuring or reorganization may take place that could leave current stock holders out in the cold if the tanker market doesn't continue to strengthen.
Since the $70 a share days, FRO has cancelled dividends, spun off FRO2012, made a profit sharing agreement with SFL, and almost tripled the number of shares recently...therefore diluting per share stock value. I doubt that FRO will EVER see $70 a share again, but time will tell. A comparable value to the $70 a share days today would be about $12 a share (that's off the cuff, you math geniuses can correct me). I am liking the recent stock move though, and expecting to see FRO hit $3 a share soon.
lakeed said "George bush was so brain dead he may of just followed Cheney."
You may recall how the "Public Media" declared that Bush won the presidency due to GRAVITAS. That was the new buzzword at the time, meaning his cabinet was more qualified than he was to run the country. The Left still hasn't changed it's tune about GWB...
On the other hand, Obama is surrounded by complete idiots (especially his choice for vice president Biden). Obama, contrary to Bush, may be the brightest bulb in his room. But what does that say about Obama as a leader?
lakeed said "I just hopes the next AG indicts GWB and his gang of murderers."
Didn't Eric Holder have that goal when he first took office? What makes you think anyone else would have a bigger incentive or more support than him against GWB? Put your GWB hopes in one hand and what you are full of in the other, and see which one fills up first.
keembodakine said "Did you know who is fighting the hardest now against lowering the corporate tax rates? It is American corporations..."
Wow, and here I thought corporations were leaving the USA in order to escape the high corporate tax rates. Why don't we just double the corporate tax rates and attract all of the corporations back to the USA?
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
You sound as ignorant as lakeed. "There much better"??? Puhhlllleeeeze
