    AMZN going green today!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Best part of the article...
Amazon's growth will be significant with growth to be 20% for each of the next 2 years compared to Walmart's 3 or 4% growth. AMZN is expected to grow earnings per share roughly 50% per year over the next 5 years.
Monster growth! Enough said! Time to BUY!

    Emanuel,
They make a lot of money but they choose to reinvest it to expand the business.
AMZN has a huge membership and will be selling these new products at a better value than their competitors.
You will see the growth that comes from the new products soon enough. Get long and stay tuned!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Economy is doing well. Internet buying is growing all over the world. Phones, TV boxes and low prices guarantee AMZN's growth and continuation for many years into the future.
Bezos sees the future and he will be the head of a multi-faceted empire that gets you what you want in the most efficient way possible. Don't be short sighted!

  • If the Prime Data theory is true, it’s a pretty smart move for Amazon. It accomplishes a double-whammy of making the company look good by cutting down on customers’ data bills, and it also encourages customers to make media purchases through Amazon, rather than through Google or Apple’s media stores. That’s a win-win for Amazon, and as good a reason as any for customers to buy an Amazon phone.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Despite announcing a content licensing deal with HBO Wednesday and posting better than anticipated revenue and profit numbers on Thursday, Amazon shares finished the week down 6.7%. The stock ticked up after its closing bell earnings report but a sell-off began overnight and continued through much of the day Friday. The stock ultimately shed 9.9% Friday and closed at $303.83.
In a way Amazon’s performance in the late week was a replay of the drama Netflix NFLX -6.36% suffered just a few days earlier. Shares of the video streaming company popped after it reported better than anticipated earnings Monday. In a letter to shareholders on the results Netflix CEO Reed Hastings and CFO David Wells declared war on HBO. Two days later HBO fired the first shot with its Amazon deal. The hit brought Netflix down and it did not recover by close Friday, ultimately finishing the week down 6.5% at $322.08

  • Highlights
•Amazon introduced Fire TV, a tiny box that plugs into your HDTV for easy and instant access to Netflix, Prime Instant Video, Hulu Plus, WatchESPN, Showtime Anytime, low-cost video rentals, and much more, offering an open ecosystem of over 200,000 movies and TV episodes. Fire TV also provides access to games from EA, Disney, Gameloft, Mojang, 2K, Amazon Game Studios, and more. The device offers voice search (that actually works!) to instantly find movies and TV shows, as well as the new ASAP feature which predicts the movies and TV episodes customers will want to watch and prepares them for playback.
•Amazon announced that HBO Go will become available for Fire TV, targeting a launch by year-end.
    • With the launch of Fire TV, Amazon released new developer tools that allow developers to quickly and easily optimize PC, console or Android mobile apps and games for the new Fire TV. The new tools include sample code, as well as documentation and guidelines to help developers design and build living room experiences, including how to manage the input for the Fire game controller and Fire TV remote.
    • Amazon Game Studios introduced Sev Zero, the Studios’ first game built from the ground up for Fire TV. Sev Zero combines a fast-action third-person shooter experience with the calculated strategy of tower defense gameplay for a fun, big screen experience.
•Amazon announced that video streams on Prime Instant Video nearly tripled year over year.
•Amazon announced a content licensing agreement with HBO, making Prime Instant Video the exclusive online-only subscription home for select HBO programming, including The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, The Wire, Big Love, Deadwood, Eastbound andDown, Family Tree, Enlightened, Treme, early seasons of Boardwalk Empire and True Blood, as well as mini-series like Band of Brothers, John Adams, and more. The first wave of content will arrive on Prime Instant Video May 21.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Amazon touted Fire TV's "powerful performance" in the announcement, which includes "quad-core processor with over 3x the processing power of Apple TV, Chromecast, or Roku 3, a dedicated GPU, plus 4x the memory of Apple TV, Chromecast, or Roku 3 for exceptional speed and fluidity," which also includes "stunning 1080p HD video and immersive Dolby Digital Plus surround sound."

TheStreet contributor Gary Krakow called Fire TV "the streaming video device for the others to beat" noting features like X-Ray, which turns your Fire HDX tablet into a second screen, search by voice and the quad-core Qualcomm processor all add to the set top box, making it "a much more powerful device, capable of great things."

Amazon is also appealing to the gamer community by making Fire TV a gaming console, with 100 game titles available and an optional $40 game controller.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
