It does pay a good dividend. Of course it could be a long, long time before the dividends make up for the catastrophic NAV loses. I sold half my position at $7.49...sure wish I'd sold the whole thing.

No one reads or participates in Yahoo msg boards any longer but I'm leaving a message anyway out of utter disgust. I've owned BERIX for years but the more I look at the confluence of three numbers the more solid my decision to move my money elsewhere:

Those numbers: Nearly 40% in cash while charging .64% in expenses and down nearly 1.5% for the year.

I guess it must have to do with management changes some months back but I'm not willing to pay a manager .64% to keep 40% in cash. and THIS after a measly 3.5% gain in 2014 (oh, that's right, they were greatly in cash then, too). Last year, conversely, old standard VWINX was up over 8%, is actually "managing" client money and is up roughly as much so far in 2015 as BERIX is down. And the expense is less than half.

After 15 years, I'm done at least until this fund board gets some management who earns their keep.

    Sentiment: Sell
