    8150 buyback

    Royco;
    Thank you for the clarification and also sorry for any misunderstanding.As you know many have lectured me over the years (way before Imos-Is-garbage began posting ) about Call buying and timing Imos decisions ( Caff,Marnis,Etc.) and have taken such advice In the spirit given-constructive criticism.I have never responded to well Intentioned criticism negatively.I think we all share Imos-Is-Garbage's frustration.
    I might be a touch sensitive also.I was correct on timing of collapse ( for once ) but wrong that this Managment would stoop so low.Long 650 $ 20.00 calls last expiration at an average price of 1.00.Ouch and Cheers !

    Royco;
    Bush league post.You sound like Pere.Expecting a board to honor It's fiduciary responsibility Is how some people base trading decisions.NOBODY expected them to screw Us this badly on the collapse.Caff please correct me If you disagree.Your post Is dissapointing and condescending.

    Buy-buy;
    As history with these guys has proven,saying and doing are 2 different animals.Lets say for a change they actually attempt to really buy shares.Turt points out we should rally as 10% of float.Last 8150 buyback they were authorized to pay over $ 41.00.Market rallied to $ 32 first day then proceeded to tank and all shares were bought under $32.Why should this time be any different ? Nobody,apparently Including Taiwanese Investors,trusts this Managment for all the obvious reasons.I really thought we would get a " massive " buyback and that was the reason Baupost,Soros,Caff seemed to not object to the almost criminal collapse formula.
    Catch 22 situation now.Good monthly numbers and we rally ang they say market ran away from them ( Deja vu ) or we drift down and we have to count on them to properly execute a buyback.Not trying to be Debbie Downer but a realist.They could have made me a believer with 30 million + buyback.Cheers

    Conversion;
    Just ONCE I wish they would surprise us and the markets with a substantial buyback.All that cash and cheap line of credit and that's the best they can do ?? They continue to dissapoint and tie up my money.Whats next ? Buyback can't start till after Chinese New Year is over and then wait till 30 days after the lawyers return from vacation.Last 8150 buyback did'nt move stock at all,Doubt this will either.Expecting good monthly numbers,8150 moves up and they will have bought back 0 shares.Imho.Cheers

    Amen ! Feel lucky to still be around after that move.Still love the company and their Managment.Ironic that I love EXAS Managment ( where I am down huge but have not sold a share ) but hate Imos managment.I guess I just hate liars.Happy to put 2015 in the rear view mirror.Remember,If you have your health, you have everything.Cheers

    This round of monthly numbers coul be a catalyst or " pleasant " surprise ( unlike all of managements previous surprises ).Continuing better numbers after last months would lead one to believe they do have new Bussiness.Imho.Cheers

    Still a lot better than losing 75 % of your investment In Sgoc.Does your mama know you are on the computer In your basement ?

    Anyone know why Chipbond was up $ 3.65 ( 8.5 % ) and Chippy was up a $ .05 ? Congrats S.J. You continue to Impress the Taiwanese Investors.

    Better yet get Pere's e-mail and you can play with each other since neither of you add anything to the board.

    Could not agree more.Lawyers are the only one's who win.
    Yes;I am down to 47,000 shares but you have my vote.A mute point unless Caff//Baupost etc come on board.Liz Is 100 % correct.The only thing they fear Is losing controll.
    Bama; Your final line Is dead on.TGIF ! A good weekend to all.Cheers

    Yksrivss;
    Twice In the last year I have reached out to the board to do exactly what you are proposing and received no support.As I said to you a month ago we are spinning our wheels unless large shareholders are on board.There Is a simple and more cost effective solution.The large shareholders call for a special meeting with the Intent of replacing the board.I think at this point even Caff would admit they are going out of their way to screw us.As someone so elequantly put It " rub salt In our wounds ".For the life of me I do not know why Caff/Baupost have not called for this meeting.I can only guess their Is a good reason which might be a massive buyback of 8150.Time will tell.
    Note to Pere.Since you have posted 3 times since swearing never to post again I have some advice.Honoring your word Is a lot like keeping your fiduciary Responsability.When you break either you are not " smart " you are just a common liar.We knew you were a pompous blowhard but now we know you and S.J. Have so much In common.You remind me of Silly In a pathetic way.I ,as does the entire board, look forward to your next post and a good laugh !! Cheers

    Dbacks;
    You are not wrong.In fact your points are all " Kiss " .keep It simple stupid ! The simple but very straight forward question now Is how do we stop this deal ? If we had a huge pop In 8150 tonight I might have hope but It looks like business as usual for these thieves.NOBODY trust this Managment/Bod.Including the Taiwanese or Is It just manipulation ?.Either way It does not matter what does Is our concerted action to kill the deal.Imos trades In the U.S. And our board has violated their fiduciary Responsability I do not see why we can not sue them to stop the process.Anyone know the right firm to hire to proceed ? I am tired of playing defense and being abused.Cheers

    It's the only thing will save our #$%$ in the short term.Speculated on by Jayland earlier In the day.Also It's the only reason I can see why Baupost/Caff would not explode about this absolute #$%$ deal.All Imho.

    IMOS;
    You have made some great points as has Jayland but nobody has brought up one of the most ridiculous example of the lengths they have gone to screw us. " using the last 3 trading days till Jan 20 th ".We have been looking to collapse for 2 years, the " Special comittee " has been In place for over 6 months and they choose an average of the last 3 trading days !! Not 3 months, 1 month but the worst 3 day combo since they were formed ! By the boards own words they were willing to buy back shares of 8150 to over $ 41 Taiwan which Is over $ 25 for Imos.How can they, with a straight face, suggest this deal.Like most long time holders I am disgusted with this deal as once again we have been sat In the back of the bus and told to be patient.Once again we have to " hope " they are not lying to Caff and Baupost about a massive buyback of 8150.
    My final thought/question Is there any reason why the board could not return the cash portion Immediatly ?

  • sean777007 by sean777007 Jan 21, 2016 4:19 AM Flag

    This Is a complete joke.After all our patience this Is our reward ? I find It mind boggling Baupost/Soros and even Caff would accept this.I would rather bring In the lawyers then accept this #$%$ deal.

  • sean777007 by sean777007 Jan 20, 2016 6:04 PM Flag

    S.J. Is a total dirtball.After already over selling our company to his board,cronies and himself he wants to further dilute us to under 50 % !!! Gee, that special comittee Is really working hard.Imagine If the collapse were not a priority ? Can you Imagine where we would be If they had done their job In. Timely manner ? Fully expect good news overnight as these thieves never have to take risk thanks to S.J. volume tells ALL .

    Caff;
    This whole thing Is just so A## backwards.we own a controlling majority ( 58 % ) and they get to vote to dilute us under 50 % ?? The proper and correct path Is to ask what IMOS shareholders will accept and then put before 8150 shareholders.This Is putting the cart In front of the horse.The entire board/Managment team owns 8150 shares and will vote to their advantage and screw Imos holders-again.Actions speak louder then words and you must agree at this point the fix Is IN ! Although I have great respect for you I will never understand why you,Baupost and Soros have let S.J. Abuse his position to the detriment of the long term Imos holders.A call for a special board meeting would be the proper coarse of action.Until then they are just laughing at us.Imho.Cheers.
