and its meteoric rise from .40 to 400- I checked the charts back as far as they went (1994) and I couldn't find a closing price less than $4.88. Still an amazing outsized return to date but far from some kind nuclear starship on a parabolic climb. It was pretty much range bound for the first four years. That being said, I too hope that our fine young gem of an enterprise proves once and for all that Nobel laureates can crawl out of their ivory towers, and kick financial #$%$.
What the hell are you talking about? You have no idea of the level of medical knowledge in that audience. Handing out bullet points related to clinical aspects of obscure conditions like SHPT and simply standing up and saying that you will take questions would have been disastrous. Comparing that to a high school presentation makes me think that must be your level of actual understanding rather than a serious suggestion.
As a CKD Stage 3 patient I can tell you that, among both the patient and physician community, there is widespread anticipation of the Rayaldy launch. Existing treatments leave much to be desired in terms of effectiveness. For instance, I take 50K units of Vit D daily (a dose that would create Vit D toxicity in a healthy person) plus 1K mg of Calcitrol. In spite of this mega D dosing profile my Parathyroid levels are still 8 to 10 times higher than the normal range.
So, yes, I believe that considering the global SHPT market and the many other emerging and off label uses for a form of Vit D that has the highest level of bioavailability currently available, is enormous. And remember that for patients like me the consequences of not correcting the SHPT problem are grave, if you get my meaning.
But Dorf,I thought your strategy was to pretend he didn't exist. But it appears you actually follow his as a contrarian. Maybe you need to follow your own advice and let ramblings fall on, as you put it, "death ears".
If that's the case why did you bother to even key in a response. Is it perhaps that you yourself get some private stimulation from being the bad #$%$ dude that calls out those you deem worthy of your harsh, semi-educated, judgments. By the way, the phrase is "on deaf ears" not "death ears" but I'm sure you knew that, right Mr. Dorf?
You're like a midget that gets knocked out in a boxing match but keeps getting up and staggering around the ring throwing punches at make believe opponents.
I understand that you really really hate OPK and it is also clear that you get some kind satisfaction out of posting negative diatribes to get under the skin of those who are rooting for the stock.
I can't believe that you really get enjoyment out of this endless stream of repetitive pointless babbling. Please understand it is not my intention to "retaliate" and snark back at you. If you want to continue this, that's your choice. But also understand you look incredibly foolish and small minded. If that's what you're going for, you are certainly getting it.
As far as you short position in OPK goes, I wish you the same luck I would wish any other investor. As we all know winning at this game is a delicate blend of skill, luck and timing. Who knows you may be right. Time will tell. So perhaps you can take my sentiment to heart and try some other avenues to get the fun, or whatever it is you are seeking, in some other more constructive way.
