I would not say that APU did not meet expectations rather it could not meet Kamps' price. APU always provided excellent service, the office staff was always polite, professional. I don't think that APU customers could complain about a longevity discount if it is part of the service agreement but then, somebody will always complain about something. If I had known that APU was willing to chop its price as low as the rep offered, I would have stayed with APU. I participated in the pre-buy program for many years, something available to everyone.

Well I first bought back in 1998, reinvested the dividends, so APU has been a great holding for me.

It is less expensive to keep a customer than to gain a new one. I was an APU customer for for over 14 yrs but switched to Kamps (private outfit) due to pricing. When I called to have the APU tank removed, the rep tried her best to keep me by lowering the price to Kamps' price but at that point it was too late. APU should look into a loyal customer plan where pricing for long time customers drops vs newer customers. For example, for every five years of being a customer in good standing, the price is automatically 5% lower. In my case, the price would have been 15% lower and APU would have kept me. Clearly APU would have to limit the discount to some max, say 25%. Something to think about. I've been a very happy unit holder for 15 years.

    Sentiment: Buy

Bought another 1000 last week and another 1000 today. I should have warned everyone that it would subsequently tank :-) NE is a good outfit, it is run by adults, its customers make long term commitments, it will grow steadily.

    Sentiment: Buy
