    Incredible number of law firms

You make a very good point. Some people think it wont make phase II which at this point seems ludicrous - Safety was the endpoint of Phase I. The objectives are being met. the question of whether it works or how well it works was also determined in the 1st cohort. I mean that was 3 months ago - did people forget? It looked like they reversed fibrosis. So now we added more drug and somehow people think its no longer working. That's crazy logic.

Did anyone - I mean anyone at all pay attention to the slide that said the Halflife is 4 times that of the mouse study. Anyone know what that means? When they calculated the therapeutic dosage in humans of 8mg/kg I don't think they knew what the half life was going to be. Considering Mice were reversed in 2 months you have to extrapolate that Humans are going to respond much better since the drug sticks around longer in the blood stream.

This talk is fear mongering. What evidence is overwhelming? What is the smoking gun? All these Law Firms are operating off of one major assumption. That assumption is that the news was bad. What defines bad anyhow? NEWS FLASH - it was in fact good. but that is subjective as well. Therefore in November when they hopefully complete their Phase I study and start their Phase II the lawsuits will drop. Going to Phase II undermines the main tenant of the Lawfirms claim that this is not an approvable drug. Phase I is all about safety - I'm surely not expecting an unsafe outcome when they increase the dosage in the next cohort.

I think that approach would have been great and way better but the shorts were firmly entrenched. Did you see the premarket start going crazy right at 8:30? They were killing it as he was going over the disclaimer. A different approach may have stemmed the price slide in the AM.

You know there is a completely rational explanation for this. Too bad they didn't take the time to explain it. I don't know the details and I'm purely speculating so I'm going to dumb it down with what we do know. Taking a biomarker 3 days after infusion is a not a good test because the Galectin Blocker is still active in the blood stream. The half life is 4 times that of the Mouse model. Look at the AUC curve on slide 11. Its still working! If you look at the inflammatory cytokines why do they tend to rise? well the theory behind the mechanism of action would explain this. There is a lot of biological activity of the body getting rid of the collagen. That process causes a rise in the inflammation markers short term and then in day 14 after things settle down one would expect that to be a lot lower.

Is Freedom of speech - yelling fire in a crowded theater? AF cried fire in a burning theater but he started the fire. That's called arson.

The answer is False depending on the time frame - Definitely No insider sales during the AF time frame. Look at the filings. The lawyers however are probably seeking a much larger time frame. Lets assume they are on a fishing expedition, here are the facts from the SEC website Over the 1 year time frame. First any 10X fund sales are not included because those sales corresponded to the purchase of warrants whereby the company received the proceeds. Not even the best attny could prove that was tied to any promotion for personal gain. That leaves two insiders left during the past year selling AFTER the AF bashing in April 2014 at the BOTTOM of the Market. So lets round the share count up to 50K and a stock price of $12 those are proceeds of $600K not millions of dollars of stock. Just another misstatement. Seriously when insiders sell at the worst possible time who is going to believe that it was tied to a promotional article? The facts don't lie the articles have zero correlation with insider selling - I rest my case.

Its amazing that all of these attorneys are unable to spend the 5 min it takes to research the form 4's. Just something to consider - how many of these Attorneys have links to AF and his benefactors? I'm waiting for the Attorneys to be sanctioned for putting out these press releases without conducting the simplest of due diligence.

The stock is down due to margin calls and the constant stream of lawsuits. In the next 3 trading day I think you will see a bottom as the negative pessimism climaxes. There will be a point where there cannot be any more negative news. Your analysis of the situation is correct that the news was good but until the company unveils the rest of their plan do deal with the bear raid we are going to consolidate here. If any other posters are frustrated why don't we fight back against AF and company? All of us can file a complaint against AF for his collusion with short sellers. he has a least half a dozen complaints lodged against him by other companies he's targeted since 2011. That might get the regulators to get involved. Remember how blatent the attack was - Before any human had a chance to digest a 30 page report as complicated as this stock was selling off in the premarket. I mean it was dropping as the CEO was reading the disclaimer.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

I disagree that it is that is a binary event because of the patent portfolio and the oncology franchise. We don't know much about the phase II design except that it will involve a biopsy and likely be longer in duration. The other thing that you have to realize is that this safety study will likely translateover to the Melanoma trial. Measuring efficacy in cancer has clearly defined parameters. A surprise there could accelerate a lot of things.

Now regarding the use of biomarkers - they seem to be quite meaningful as evidenced by the first cohort. They seem to be playing around with the timing and the figure our the best indicators of disease and efficacy. They have categorically proven on the Last Conference call that GAL-3 is a bad indicator. I think LJPC uses it.

I think Feuersteins tweet is history. The market shook it off at the end. I did some digging and these Emerging growth LLC guys are paid to do their SEC filing. They are paid a monthly retainer dating back to July 2013. That was a legit article and a good one at that comparing the NASH marketplace and fishing for e-mails and I don't see anything wrong with that. Write a good article - people like the analysis they sign up to stay informed.

the company has NOT sold any shares since the shelf extension was announced and explicitly stated they have no plans to do so in the immediate future and are funded through a Phase II - so please don't insult our intelligence. Now if the stock is at a reasonable valuation like $40 or $50. they would be crazy not to sell 1.0 mil shares it wouldn't be very dilutive. So you must be expecting a huge pop to say something like this - oh wait - your a short praying that they issue stock so you can cover - sorry - Monday is the last day to cover.

Nice pop in the price - but what's the reason?

I think there was a pretty good reason for the pop. They are announcing trial data on Tues. So if you think it is good this is your last chance to buy the stock before the news hits. People are betting the news is good.

If you are new to the stock that is wonderful. Invest and you will be rewarded. Trade it and you will go crazy on a day like today. On a forward valuation basis this stock is extremely cheap if you use a 30% discount to future revenue model. the model puts the current value at 6.5 Billion assuming a 30K annual treatment regimin. Lets just chop that down and say 1Bil because after all they are collecting efficacy data while in Phase I. At $300 mil current valuation that's quite undervalued. If the market realizes that there is a phaseII drug then $1 Bil market cap is in the cards on this announcement. if the skeptics win and say they aren't using state of the art efficacy measuring techniques then you wont see much movement.

Now most of the last conference call went over the minutia of why they use the indicators they use and the best measure is the fibroscan NOT a liver biopsy. They proved that thesis but they still plan on doing liver biopsies but NOT in phase I patients. its too short of a time frame to do a liver biopsy on people that sick. if you simply assume lineal progression the results of this cohort will be undeniable. So will they stop the study like ICPT did? NO - why b/c ICPT was in a phase II. This is still phase I and they still need to get to the optimal dose level. Based on the mouse model that is 8mg/kg - so that is roughly double from here and that will take about 30 patients which sounds a lot like a Phase II. So while they are working on Phase I they will probably be able to use this patient group in phase II. My gut tells me that they would probably have to do only one more cohort of 30 patients in phase II and then off to a Phase III. Based on good results out of this cohort you now have two data sets and trend data to interpolate what the safety and efficacy results are going to be of this trial. So based on results they will determine what the third cohort looks like. We will also have a great idea on the prob of sucess

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
