Just saw a sidebar on GPRO and missing earnings. Since I haven't followed the stock since my post a year ago, I had no idea what happened, and still don't. What I do see is a list of lawsuits? Can anyone tell me what happened of those that were following? Is Poon still around? Hope he made his money and got out
before the mayhem. Tia.
Forget the question, it was a waste of keystrokes on my part.
You and your lap dog rvga can continue your routines.
signing out.......due to lack of interest.
Is it Manny, why I didn't dump 340k shares? You know someone else suggested that maybe that person or fund dumped because because they wanted or needed to get into another opportunity elsewhere. Makes sense. A couple of years ago when JAG dumped, I went to see if there was a buy the company made at about the same time. There was and I followed that stock for a couple months and it had doubled. If he had stayed in this stock he would have lost even though you count the dividend he was making.
Do you live in NJ Manny and commute to Man? I hope the answer is no, even though I've noticed a distinct 'pattern', I would like to be very wrong on this one.
Let me see. You're bragging because you got back what you lost a couple days ago, but can't get back
to where it was even 3 weeks ago. So if it's just such a fine stock, why did someone dump 340k? This stock is stuck in a narrow trading range (except the dump, which I'm sure all of you will say you got that $2.85 right?). So the markets are clueless because they just don't believe in this stock. I'm sure they are all just as offended
by your comment as I am, lol.
8. We'd benefit from Vanke. Xin was not and is not in a class with Vanke. Nor did the company or you listen to the interview that Vanke gave, because he was very specific about saying 'you do not want to be in commercial real estate in China
because it was crumbling. Which is why Vanke was doing commercial outside of China. What does Xin do probably about 2 months after that interview? Bought property where 2/3 was
going to be developed for 'commercial'. You think he should have listened to Vanke's CEO? I think that was the property in Beijing, the only Tier 1 at that time. Couldn't swear that was the property, and it's not worth it to go look it up. Now this:
'and who is the first to point out that the 60 min section will do damage to the pps'.
Not you. I had been saying the same thing on this board a whole year before that segment. If it was news to anyone buying stock, in China real estate, then they obviously didn't do any homework
on China news period.
You Manny, and these points of yours are about as reliable as this company.
'7: Expecting a double or triple in less than 2 yrs'
Let's see it had crossed the five, which means we at least had to reach $10 to $15 in less than 2 years. Now I'm the one heheheing.
6.'6. IBD will most likely start to follow this stock.
Had to jump off the point section, because the allotted space was becoming smaller and smaller.
IBD following? No one was following then or now, so let me just put something acceptable to Yahoo.......hogwash.
Oh I didn't forget point 5. It did cross the 5 and slowly evaporated. Make that quickly evaporated. Check historical prices from Feb. 27/13 onward.
4. My source checked out those issues that I complained about. Being resolved. Long term: non-issue'
May I just say the brown stuff was flowing on this point. Resolved my you know what.
'3.Like how they manage their USA properties. Fast learners'
What was to like? They bought lots in Nevada guess that didn't work out for their plans to build, so they just flipped the lots. Well that was sure well managed. Then they bought 15 finished condos. At first Gurnee told us 7 were sold, we didn't hear anything on the others for almost 2 years, and I think it was only addressed once on a call because they were directly asked the question on a call. I think the response was mumble, mumble.
'2. Management seems to be sincere and level headed. Not too sugary, not too tight lipped. Like CEO's insistence to stay in NYSE. CFO candid and articulate.
This whole post is funny. It was really level headed to buy a jet lol. We can't get anything out of this company and there is absolutely no PR. And that CFO didn't last long, I guess they didn't find him too articulate and didn't like candid.
'1. Chinese real estate market is healthy if not too healthy in that the demand in high quality cities far exceed supplies. Way too many first time buyers have not bought in yet. The current system of land auction in china, as well as recovering USA real estate market will benefit xin because it has enough cash while smaller cos will go belly up.'
1.The Chinese real estate market was not healthy, is was beginning to tank. It's very easy to say 'quality cities'. Which quality cities, you failed to say. Was Xin building in those quality cities? The supply far exceeded demand, that's why there were so many ghost cities. Yes, I know you'll say but those weren't Tier 1. Neither were Xin's. Their one project I'll get into later. Enough Cash? Whoops, what happened to that cash....bye bye.
Now Manny are you trying to goad me, or did I bruise that massive ego you got going on? I can't make a solid point?. Oh,
me thinks that post of yours certainly makes a number of solid points. So let me just hop on down to your points, and maybe you'll get my point. :) Also since you have changed your moniker I wanted people to know that weren't here at that time.
When I get back as I'm on my way out, I'll be sure to take on these points one by one. Oh, and welcome back Manny....sic
I was talking sheet as usual??? My, My......I hope you came loaded for bear. Let's begin 2 years ago. After providing links for the shoddy workmanship of one of Xin's properties, and translations of all the unhappy customers in China, etc. etc. You come back two weeks later with the following post. Be sure to let me know how all those talking points came to pass in that timeframe of yours.

I am in. Taking a position here for the following reasons:
1. Chinese real estate market is healthy if not too healthy in that the demand in high quality cities far exceed supplies. Way too many first time buyers have not bought in yet. The current system of land auction in china, as well as recovering USA real estate market will benefit xin because it has enough cash while smaller cos will go belly up.
2. Management seems to be sincere and level headed. Not too sugary, not too tight lipped. Like CEO's insistence to stay in NYSE. CFO candid and articulate.
3. Like how they manage their USA properties. Fast learners.
4. My source checked out those issues that I complained about. Being resolved. Long term: non-issue.
5. crossing the 5 dollar barrier with good volume.
6. IBD will most likely start to follow this stock.
7: Expecting a double or triple in less than 2 yrs.
8. Benefiting from the Vanke's hype
Yeah running the debt up to 2B in 2 years is real prudent.
