I hope they never do another Analyst Day if this is the result! Talk about screwing the pooch! The Chairman of the Board talking about being embarrassed. The CEO laying out a vision that seems slightly at odds after spending tens of billions on new plant and equipment. And then the CFO adds to the circus by laying out a forecast of no growth for the foreseeable future. If this this the Best they can do--after calling all the analysts in--it's as if this Special Meeting was scheduled as a Joke! If you have nothing positive to say, perhaps silence would be better--because the truth will come out anyway. Barrett used to do mid quarter updates and someone other than him squashed those--they ought to do the same to this Analyst Day. Better yet, maybe this company finally needs to get some Qualified Adult Leadership--it's been lacking since Andy Grove stepped down!
