Apparently she was good enough for Glencore (first female board member there!), but not for MFC. What a shame. Maybe she'll convince Glasenberg to put MFC shareholders out of their misery with a $10 bid.

RBI just released its results this morning, I was interested in how they would report on the sale of Elsner to MFC (since MFC, as usual, gave zero details on the transaction). It appears Elsner had assets of 72m EUR and liabilities of 58m EUR, thus net assets of 12m EUR, and was sold for just 1 (one!) million EUR.
I wonder what the problem is with Elsner that made Raiffeisen sell it at a 90% discount to net equity.

that is what is called "throwing a bone". MS is not interested in "raising awareness" or in any way improve transparency on their assets. He wants it all: a high valuation and operating completely in the dark. That usually doesn't work, only in rare cases of financial mania.
Look at how they completely blew it at KHD. This could have been such a wonderful stock, but with all the mismanagement and internal wars it was sold to MS' chinese "friends" for a pittance. Kellogg's role in this mess should not be understated!! He was the one who made it happen. Therefore, I don't think that things will get much better at MIL in terms of transparency or shareholder friendliness. Too bad, and I'm still scratching my head: WHY oh WHY?? Even Glencore is pretty open to its shareholders now.

"call the Investor Relations Department of MFC to see if they can help"

    ROTFL.
