CD best of luck. In the last few months I've renewed a position in TEVA below 40. The chart is looking real good. The 50 day MA has crossed the 200 day MA. Stocks many times make their move before good news is apparent to the masses. 4th Quarter earnings are forecasted to be above 4th Q 2012. It's been awhile since that has happened. I look for you and Atty to return to the stock at higher prices.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I was a heavy investor in this stock many months ago. I liquidated my entire position in the low 40s. A few months ago when the stock fell below 40, I bought back 20% of my original position. We are now closer to the Dec 11th, clarification date. Based on Levin's reputation at Bristol Meyers the betting has got to be that this meeting will be a positive event for Teva's stockholders. Now I've picked up another 5%, at $38.+. I think the immediate reason for the current weakness is the potential for an Israeli armed conflict. That would have me concerned if I owned many of the Israeli stocks. But with Teva, I have almost no apprehension, because it's facilities are so diversified around the Globe, with hardly any in Israel. In fact I would have bought more today, except for my thinking the stock could hit bottom, if and when the tanks roll into Gaza. I'll have some cash ready then. With Teva's earnings and pharmaceutical future it's got to be a screaming buy at these prices.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
for the invasion by the West Coast Angels. Led by 2 superstars Weaver, 2012 Cy Young Award shoo-in ( 16-3) and the 21 year old phenom Trout, leading MVP candidate. They should easily handle Detroit's baseball representative, this coming weekend. Not sure if Weaver will pitch on Sunday, since he pitched and beat the Sox today. I'm sure the shorts and trolls are wondering what this has to do with SODA.
Well rumor has it that there is a Sodastream appliance in the Angel clubhouse. That's not too hard to swallow after the NUMBER ONE ENTREPRENEUR in the World, previously located on the West Coast, (JOBS) owned one.
To make this weekend's competition fair we need to make sure the Tigers have one in their clubhouse.
You forgot about the Frank/Dodd muscle philosophy that all Americans were entitled to a home, (whether they could afford it or not). That BS and all the off spring philosophies and financial paper caused the severe contraction in the economy.
It's a goodbye now. Liquidated the other 50% of my Teva holdings. Value Line downgraded the stock and took it out of its model portfolio. Probably will go up now. Lost $.75/share over the last 11 months. When I got involved with TEVA, I wanted to be well represented in healthcare. Gave serious consideration to Amgen at around 49-50. AMGN now 83. WRONG DECISION. I've made a few of those in my investment career. So good luck to all the longs here. GOODBYE (Please no tears)lol
LOL. That rebuttal is priceless. Glad to know that your recovery is progressing nicely as evidenced by your posts.
Based on previous experience, that reality is bullish for the stock as the opposite has been bearish.
I agree & I should have added that to my comment. One positive I picked up on that Q & A, if you could hear the background talk, was that the plan for the Q & A was to move it into a side room. But the moderator changed the plans and kept it in the main presentation room. The crowd was larger than they expected for SODA and there was significant interest in the company.
I listened to the whole presentation. It appears from the lack of posts that not too many posters did. They did say it was archived at the site which was previously posted here. I thought he did a nice job in laying out the SODA story. Unfortunately couldn't see the exhibits.
That's OK. I have problems too in following thread posts. It depends how far in the indentation is to know what post the poster is responding to. I guess wars can start over misjudging the indentations. Ha ha. Going away for the weekend into LA to Memphis the musical and stay over.
Disappointed in Paul as Romney's VP. He is definitely a good man but with BO being up 10% in the polls,Paul is not the one to pull votes away from BO. I don't think he connects with the havenots or other BO voters?????. I was thinking yesterday as we go down the road of socialism "An educated Liberal" should be an oxymoron.
Until next week bro.
We are like 2 ships passing in the night. I was referring to the whoopie cushion in my accuracy before I down loaded your site. Did you not see my post UNDER yours there. I DON"T LIE.
I know you're disapointed about LSU losing one of their stars further opening the path of USC as #1 in the BCS.
I will grant that I was wrong about the betting line AT THIS TIME, but the heavy LAKER money hasn't appeared yet.
Wife told me spending too much time on computer. Told me to "GO JUMP IN THE LAKE" I am going to oblige her. Taking 15 steps out the back door and jumping in a man made, 1 mile long, CLEAR lake, where the water temperature is a nice 82. Outside is upper 90s with some humidity, but not as bad as the EAST. I was raised in NYC (the Bronx, 5 blocks from Yankee stadium) and I know humidity. Son just came back from Baltimore and he now also knows humidity.
Doc the stock PPS is making progress. Sometimes that view is not apparent to investors who have been in the stock for longer periods of time. Me it's a little over 3 mos. Look at this chart
The stock used to get support in the high 20s and low 30s. Now it appears to be getting support in the high 30s. Resistance appears to be in the mid 40s. That appears to be the new trading range up from the lower one. Yeah good results are the reason If that holds that's progress. I personally don't get caught up with the daily and weekly fluctuations, longer time frames yes. I'm basically not a trader although I did a little bit the last 7 days. The minute the stock backed off a little bit I resumed my rather full heavy position. I await further good results from SODA. Keeping my fingers crossed.
A couple comments
1. From the article:
"Before Laker fans cry foul for Vegas odds-makers roiled L.A.'s perfectly sunny skies with a thunderstorm, consider what the odds actually mean. A bookmaker's role entails predicting how the public will bet their money, rather than actually assessing whether that prediction will pan out. In fairness, Bell believed the discrepancy between Miami and the Lakers winning the title amounted nothing more than a "modest difference."
2. Odds will change once ? of Howard's back (risk)is put to bed and shoodabul backs up his opinion. lol.
3. The East representative will undoubtedly have homecourt advantage in the finals. East is much weaker as a whole than the West. The winner from the East (probably the Heat with the Hornets a close 2nd lol)will have a better win loss %. Home court in basketball is a bigger advantage (Home advantage) than in any other sport, hockey, football, baseball etc.Everyone thinks it's the crowd. IMO, having played the sport, it's
familiarity with your surroundings.ie With your back to the basket at home, you know at all times where the basket is 5, 6, 7 feet away. There is a certain confident court presence at home that one does not have on an away court. I once played in a mini superdome arena in upstate Illnois with like 75 ft ceilings. I did not have a court presence confidence and had a misserable game. Hey it's 5:10 EPT, I need to have lunch.
