Well, of course AT&T missed estimates... they are using inferior, outdated, inefficient 1990's-technology telecom equipment!

  • Infinera is growing at 20% year over year (that is quite a bit better than the rest of the industry with ALU growing at 5% per year and CIEN growing at 10% per year).
    Infinera margins improving strongly.
Both non-GAAP and GAAP now nicely positive.
Stock will probably over $14 per share over the next quarter.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Nice!
Cash is up. Margins are up. Fundamentally, this one is worth over $20 per share.

Short interest had nearly doubled in the past 40 days which had artificially lowered the TA stock price. Now, we are seeing some of those new shorts (and some of the older shorts) scrounge to cover their short positions. Enjoy!

Jack Lew also spoke about cyber security. The U.S. financial system, finally recovering from the crisis of 2008 and 2009, faces another perilous challenge in the form of cyberattacks, he said.

Lew said digital threats lurk that could cause serious damage.

"Cyberattacks on our financial system represent a real threat to our economic and national security," Lew said in prepared remarks. "But a malicious cyber actor can cause catastrophic damage to our financial system without directly attacking a bank."

He called for Congress to pass regulations to address the myriad aspects of cyber security.

"As it stands, our laws do not do enough to foster information sharing and defend the public from digital threats," Lew said. "We need legislation with clear rules to encourage collaboration and provide important liability protection...And we need legislation that protects individual privacy and civil liberties, which are so essential to making the United States a free and open society."

This is a key industry for the world's future.

  • I was expecting $6 million in revenues and $200K in cash flow from operations from Surge Components (SPRS)
The company came in with a whopping $6.7 million in revenue and $380K in cash flow from operations.
Revenue growth was 14% when comparing to the same quarter of previous year.
Shareholder equity is upt to $1.17 per share. Beautiful ! We could easily see this stock over $1.20 per share this year.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Excellent. CAMP fundamentals are far better now than they were when the company was trading at $30 per share. Revenue will be over $250 million. Operating income and net income will each be over $1 per share. This company is growing and very nicely profitable.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Valid point. I am going to give you a thumbs up for your comment. Although Q1 was 27% higher in revenue than the prior year's Q1, I probably should not allow my long term estimate to be skewed by that recent strong growth. I re-ran the estimate based on a 5% annual growth.
With a very conservative assumed 5% revenue growth rate while continuing to start with the $23.6 billion annual revenue, then FLEX gives a discount cash flow valuation of $13.76 per share.

Directors are elected by a majority of shareholder votes. Gerrity didn't own any shares. He didn't win a majority of the votes cast. In accordance with the vote tally, Mr. Gerrity has resigned. There are a lot of other companies where this should happen.

Brother, indeed! Watch out for lying Chinese CEOs who don't have to answer to a financial regulation organization or an impartial court system. I would never trade my AFAM shares for shares in a Chinese "company".

This is a low risk fund that has reduced wild swings as typical most index.
Some great value stocks in Queens Road, yet still good upside. Also has low annual expense ratio.

Intrinsic value of SPND $8.41 per share

I am expecting about $3.6 million in revenue and about $0.9 million in net income. That would be great. SPND would have significant upside if they can beat these numbers.
I wish whomever it was that sold shares this morning would sell some more at that same price.
I expect the next earnings report to show up around Aug 14th.

Today’s wireless networks have a hard time keeping up with the demand by mobile devices for higher data rates, multimedia services support, and ever more bandwidth. And when data starts being generated by the millions, if not billions, of machines and devices that are expected to comprise the Internet of Things, the current generation of wireless systems will be challenged as never before.

That’s why the communications industry is working on a fifth-generation wireless system. Compared with today’s 4G and LTE networks, researchers say 5G will achieve 1,000 times the system capacity; 10 times the energy efficiency, data rate, and spectral efficiency; and 25 times the average mobile cell throughput. The aim is to offer seamless and universal communications between any people, anywhere, at any time by just about any wireless device. Standards for 5G are likely to be defined between 2016 and 2018, with 5G-ready products not expected until 2020.

CAMP is designed in with most of the leading designers/manufacturers.

Be careful, there are no impartial courts in mainland China. The Chinese do not allow SEC investment rules to be enforced-- especially China does not permit justice for foreign investors. That is why so many Chinese companies trade at P/E less than 5. If this one traded at a P/E

Whoa! the trend is not your friend in Cyanotech. The company had a loss for the full year.
    Net Income
    June 2013: +$30,000
    Sept 2013: +$106,000
    Dec 2013: +$36,000
    Mar 2014 -$367,000
That comes to a net loss of $195,000 for the most recent year.... next year will probably be a loss too judging by the optimistic things management is saying this year--- which are just about the same level of optimism that management was using a year ago.
    LOL.
