I'm buying the stock on this selloff. Someone is manipulating it today. Why do I say that? Because if you draw a trendline on 5 minute bars today, you can see that anytime it comes up to the descending trendline, people lean heavily on it to keep it headed down. However, if you look at the intraday RSI, someone is also accumulating on the selloffs, as RSI is divergent (the new price lows are making higher lows on RSI). I tend to think that with what I think is good news, that this is a one day selloff event to fake people out, and that once the sellers and manipulators are finished, buyers will step in.
I'm not sure what the future holds, where
the earnings growth will come from, how multiples
will shift, and whether the tremendous fundamental
benefits of being a southeastern regional bank will
continue. I really don't think this (or any bank) is the
greatest growth opportunity available to investors.
I hold a little BB&T percentage wise......certainly
my worst performer this year by a long shot.
We have a company whose shares have taken a sharp dive after reporting stellar results. Most on here are scratching their heads trying to figure out what is going on. Could be the fiscal cliff ?... could be institutions playing games? Did the shorts squeeze? ... most likely the dive is due to factors external to the company.
Why VVUS is trading over $25 when it is not approved yet? We have not seen any pills from VVUS. Why OREX share price is increasing?
Obviously there are elements of trading schemes we (retail investors) are not familiar with, for example manipulation of stock price by the evil market makers to hold the price down before option expiration dates.
