AeroVironment is one of the most experienced at building easy-to-use UAVs capable of carrying payloads. Importantly, AeroVironment already has the integrated GPS and contact avoidance systems necessary to make sure its UAVs go where they're intended, without colliding with trees, telephone wires, or each other. If the FAA is to allow commercial drones for delivery of goods in the near future, then AVAV will lead. AVAV is already working with the military, fire, police, forest service and many other government and law enforcement authorities. Many companies can build mini-drones, but very few of them have the knowledge, experience, track record and patents to make this future plausible.
VJET is a German company and, as a member of the EU, you know that any European company the needs a 3D printer will choose VJET over any other American company. Having sold only 3 printers this quarter may sound chaotic but the fact that these very expensive printers ARE selling it's huge and will prove to other interested buyers the type of work and performance that VJET printers are capable of.
Voxeljet printer systems and services are aimed squarely at commercial applications in the automotive, architecture, aerospace, medical/orthopedic, engineering, and defense industries. The company launched an innovative, new printer this year called the VXC800. Billed as “The world’s first continuous 3D printer” this system utilizes patented technology consisting of a horizontal conveyor belt that controls the layer building. Layers are built at the entrance of the conveyor while the unpacking takes place at the exit. As a result there are virtually no restrictions on build length. This new patented technology should create a strong competitive advantage for Voxeljet.
Drone deliveries will happen and AeroVironment is the leader in miniature drones with proven success. In addition, Police and Fire Department across the world as well as other governmental authorities will be using them soon for many other civilian safety missions. The SKY is the limit folks! I also believe that Boeing or another aerospace company will try to acquire AVAV in the very near future. AVAV at $100 is a very good possibility!
I think that Tesla's S model is just a beauty and the X model is just as sexy. I Bought TSLA stock back in the $80's range and sold it at the mid $140's, so I made some good money. As my car lease comes up in 3 months, I was also thinking in ordering an S model and buy some stock as well, however, this third fire worries me. Tesla is still a baby company with a great product, but if a recall is issued on the battery's protective plates, then S model buyers will dissipate and the stock will tank. I trust Musk, but this issue might be Tesla's achilles heel. I hope that it gets resolved swiftly so that I can feel confident in the stock and order my new S model.
In the near future, the next time you call 911, the police or /fire department will dispatch a drone that will arrive at your location within a very few minutes and will be able to assess the situation with a live-cam feed. AeroViroment is the leader in these type of drones and it is only a matter of time before Wall Street wakes up and turns AVAV into a $2 billion to $5 billion company. I also believe that either Boeing Lockheed Martin, Raytheon or General Dynamics may try to acquire their drone/military division in the very near future. In any case, IMHO I think that AVAV is going to $100
