Today a new case involving a Denton County woman who was diagnoised with Zika and that County borders Dallas County and while they may be talking about the mosquito, the blood supply is what has to be the nation's priority with a transfusion taking place in the US every two seconds whether it's an emergency from a hail storm in bordering Collin County or accidents that make it a priority. If you don't understand it then it's not a priority with you and hope you stay well and never have the need for it! But there are other concerns besides Zika that could affect the blood supply! If there is a company that protects us from the pathogens and other blood contaminates then CERS has the kit that allows you nto feel like the concerns have been screened and you don't have to worry that somehow the blood center didn't take the necessary steps of preventing it! Enjoy and be safe out there!

All depends on the merger agreement but Otsuka which bought AVNR paid the shareholders $17 in cash! I actually had some Jan calls at $17 and at the time they expired and I got to keep the shares and then they paid for all my shares $17! Was thinking before the merger AVNR would fetch $25 but I was happy since I had been accumulating at various times and Keith Katkin the CEO had sold some back in 2010 what was then a 52 week high and many were bitter since they needed cash and they had two drugs, Neudexta which they wanted to name Zenvia but the FDA disallowed that name and the other was Abreva which is on all the drug stores items for cold sore! They also partner with Merck and many thought that was the European connection for Neudexta but in the end once AVNR received FDA approval for it the Japanese pharma stepped up and made the all cash offer! I've only owned one better unless you want to compare some of my value stocks which have kept me very happy. Will be interesting to see if Cerus can generate lots on the European deal and with all the American blood center deals I would have thought this stock would climb to over $8 but guess they burned too many bridges before approval for the Intercept kits and while the Big Boys own 70% of all shares outstanding, someone knows what it will take to get to Great's numbers! Just because they have it the margins and revenues have to show CERS is for real this time and some Big Pharma will likely offer high $20's to $30's and we likely want see Great's optimistic $100+! I could definitely retire if it were to happen but will be realistic! Rome wasn't built in a day and I have have to quote Shakespeare, Patience is a virtue!

They didn't cover AVNR and Adam Fernstein lost not only his butt shorting the stock buthis credibility! AVNR was at $5 and did a private placement for Baker Brothers in all liklihood and the stock was bought by Otsuka Pharmaceuticals for $17! The shorts owned alot simply because they failed to cover. I'm not so sure CERS needs to do a private placement since they have well over $100M in cash and their Intercept kits are used once and are covered by insurance as of January this year. All the large blood centers are on board and their is plenty of more news that is less then two years away! One great news item generally will run it up $1 and this stock should be over $10 unless a takeover is being set up and this would likely get $20 on the low end and at present $30 on the high end but as get closer to other events that generate revenues that price goes higher!

Amazin9999, Looks like they were positioning to acquire Magnum and change their name at a cost of @$55M and that was using $35M in cash and adding 7.1M more shares. Now it's supposed to be accretive and that's all good but will it get the stock price over $5. Avi will likely pay himself another big bonus and the shareholders will be hoping! Anyhow GigPeak will be luring investors telling us the stock is a TSLA! Be careful with your investing dollars! You will be paying more for fastfood in CA since the Governor thinks workers deserve $15 to flip them! Let's see the Dust Bowl grandkiddies move back East! Take it easy and learn to make more money!

I know it's very competative in Texas with Burger and Chicken restaurants but with some CA corporate headquarters moving to the Lone Star State, I know they are building in Virginia but I think they could make it in Houston, DFW, San Antonio, and Austin! A great burger is always welcome!

It's dilution and does not help current shareholders with UNregistered shares and now the Chinese will get fleas from that oh dog Avi! The stock price would have gone higher then $2.85 if the shares were all part of the registered shares we call the float! My $3.35 SELL was simply because I have stayed around and know Avi's tricks that he likes to pull on current shareholders! Hopefully the Chinese will buy Avi out for not a substatial premium but it will probably be somewhere around $8.88!

If one of the funds is buying to allow a takeover company without disclosing then they can keep it rangebound so some will not see what they are attempting to acquire the shares for that company. They are the leverage holder! With AVNR T Rowe Price was the largest holder and then Baker Brothers came in and bought shares and it was rangebound in the $5's until Otsuka felt that they could offer the $17 for the takeover and then it happened before another large pharma could have pursued it as well! In my honest opinion I don't see the current management letting go of this untilthey feel like the price is too attractive that they cannot turn down! With the CE Mark imminent it could fetch $25 easily but if they delay their offer and CERS continues their positive trend then they could hold out til they get the price that ius too attractive to turn down! If the price falls then the pursuing company might lose a few shares to retailers who feel that a takeover is imminent. so they play these games to keep those others from having the same or better objective!

Figures lie and Liars figure! The National debt under George W Bush was $9 Trillion and under Obama has balooned to over $19 Trillion! Of course Obama blames Bush for the debt and is the first President to say he's not to blame for the overall debt! I don't need to go into it all simply because most will not be reasonable to understand or state facts! Here's an old question for you if you feel like you want to respond! Do you feel better off then you did eight years ago! Yeah the market has done well because the Feds have had a zero rate interest policy basically for 7+ years. If you want to make something you have to take more risk. It was too easy to pay 3.5% on savings accounts and more on C.D.'s. Now you have to look at the yields in the market and hope their is not a crash like September 2008 when many sold knowing the election results of 2008! In 2010 and 2014 the GOP has taken control over the Congress and while they have rubberstamped the Administration's policies, this has created the current battle pretty much between Trump and Cruz in the GOP race and Bernie giving Hillary all she can handle in the Dem race! Both are unpredictable at the moment and why no one knows for sure how or who will be each parties candidates in November just eight months from now!

Likely is the last trading day to see CERS close in the $5's! Does FDA approval immediately generate revenues? Not necessarily but someone wanted to get the last of the cheap shares before it test higher and $10 will likely be a resistance level until we know how much revenue is being added to the coffers and MM's love to steal cheapshares. One day we will be talking when CERS was in single digits!Be careful of their gimmicks! Now which large pharma is putting CERS on their radar before it get's too expensive to add to their nestegg basket! Congrats to the patient LONGS!

Was Piper Jaffrey a short or just behind the times when they upgrade FEYE to a target of $24 from a previous trget of $15? The Big Bank brokers come & go like a revolving door and unfortunately they don't have the time to look at just one company and besides they try and move Mutual funds in qualified accounts for large companies who don't always have the same makeup as well! When you see how folks will be paying with Iphones and Androids with ApplePay and GooglePay are they going to need an FEYE to keep their systems safe from hackers and make you feel it's truly secure?

  • siserv2001 siserv2001 Mar 9, 2016 3:26 PM Flag

They will have better revenues in 2017 and that seems conservative versus your 2016 target! Just waiting on the CE Mark and the EU color strategy news!

Six new cases of Zika have been diagnoised in The DFW Texas area and the Two in Tarrant County had traveled abroad to countries with known Zika outbreak and came back to Ft. Worth. You would think the CDC would react better about this! Just amazing and luckily most of the blood centers are now using the Intercept kits to cleanse the pathogens that could affect those who need transfusions and let's hope CERUS can keep up with the demand!

Did you see how the Big Boys after the news of the ER took it down to $5.01 and now today it's catapulted to the $.80's! Some MM trying to see if he could nab some stop loss trade shares and likely covered a small bit of the 15.5 M shares shorted! Hope this isn't the first steps of a low double digit BO from one of the Big Boys! Heck Institutions already own 70% of the stock. Something doesn't add up but hey I'm sure Baker Brothers and PRIME have readily available information that I will get and have to react on! Should have bought more shares then I had in AVNR but coulda shoulda woulda! Glad I added and thought with news I might have gotten more cheaper!

Thunderstorms all week over Texas and headed east! Over abundance of rain is breeding grounds for moquitoes! Great news out of Boston and when we hear of EU news then $5's will be not seen and I don't know who is short but once the news of the earnings came out I'm sure many were covering today as much as possible but where do they find shares? Oh that's how the stock moves up almost 10% today! Like Crazy Ray who was a destroyed short of AVNR, there are likely a bit more over here. Hidden and not seen!

Hopefully not before strong double digits! Keep an eye on Otsuka though as they always have their eye on strong products developed by US biotech companies! If you already had the top 3 blood centers signed up to use your product plus many other global blood centers and you have a deep well to generate more revenue how would you evaluate the potential? If they get approval for color launch in EU which has many thinking will be imminent and they have already said they will have an approval hopefully by 1Q 2017 then you can just sit back and sip on a nice beverage and seee how it develops! I have to say they did not get into the details during their ER but they could possibly be in a quiet period waiting on the regulators to give their nod of approval and then it will be discussed at the appropriate time! I'm building my cash to firm up my numbers! Good luck to you and Great will likely add to what I didn't necessarily cover!
