I don't have anything against someone posting something unless it is done in a mean spirited way. Anyone with some semblance of understanding knows that there are accumulative layers of disasters that have been added by each President. It is only natural to blame the current incumbent, by the time damage shows up, its death by a thousand cuts, Obama is just the current target, the next target will be here soon enough.
I once used a trading bot for auto trading in Forex and although the inputs that I fed were optimized for trading, the results from a profit perspective were more on the mediocre side. Bottom line on bots is that they are only as good as the peron or group actually understands how to successfully trade, I abandoned bot trading years ago, my profits are significantly better. In the end, perhaps finding a decent company, put some money in and learn the skill of patience is the key. I quit chasing pennies, know my risk tolerance, and now pull significant dollars, nothing better to have significant dollars after long term capital gains are subtracted.
I'll add to my positions, there has been, there is, and there will always be uncertainty in the markets. The best way to get positioned is to find those not yet recognized winners and get positioned before the rest of the world wakes up, once they have waken up and the position starts shooting skywards, you quietly start exiting out before the crowd realizes it was snookered.
This makes good sense to accumulate additional Microsoft before the advantages become obvious, could we perhaps see Microsoft break into the 6 digit per share range?
I would not trade on margin until you fully understand margins, getting a margin call because you did not invest the time to know what you are getting into, you will only have yourself to blame if you get it wrong. It only takes one margin call to bring you to your senses. Should you ever get your first margin call, it would be better to have one where you wind up losing a few hundreds of dollars because you missed something, if you miss something that could cost you thousands of dollars, that is extremely painful tuition.
Samsung has a point, it should not be subject to higher license fees because of the deal. However on the flip side, Microsoft and Nokia should ask the Chinese government to ensure that Samsung has fully complied with paying a licensing fee for everything that it should have payed for in the pasty under terms of licensing agreement, in addition, Microsoft and Nokia should ask the Chinese government to enforce licensing agreements by other companies in China that have not paid and to provide compensation back to Microsoft and Nokia by all companies doing business in China that have not paid to license the use of either Microsoft and or Nokia patents. Microsoft and Nokia should ask the Chinese government to not hold Samsung only accountable, since Samsung is paying licensing fees, all companies doing business in China need to cough up the money they have been illegally making using Microsoft and Nokia software that was never licensed.
I've always felt that those that pushed globalization, did not have a clue since none who architected it had experience in it therefore did not know the consequences or it was deliberately planned so that by the time the average person really became impacted, those that could capitalize on it would before it became so obvious. Well its obvious now and the wealthy now have more money than they could spend in a few lifetimes. The momentum is in play to destroy America at the expense of the American citizens and to extract any remaining wealth before the well runs dry. Once aerospace is gone, there is no major manufacturing left in the US, only a share of manufacturing because the supply chain is too expensive to do it offshore. As long as the supply chain is cheaper to do it offshore, nothing changes, offshoring and outsourcing will continue. Meanwhile, for those on unemployment, if they make more on unemployment than they can make working a minimum wage job with no benefits, they will choose to remain on unemployment. To get folks off unemployment, the minimum wages has to be increased and benefits have to be provided so that it makes sense for someone on unemployment to look for a job. Once you get on unemployment and can survive, the only way to get them off is to either give them incentive or cut them off. If you cut them off, then the seeds are sown for anarchy. When you take hope away while allowing them to organize electronically, I would not want to be one of those in Washington DC should a 10 million man march of unemployed and destitute people march.
I am up over $34k from my last set of entry points, and I don't need no stinking alerts, the one and only time I used an alert service was when those dumping were roping in sheep and I was too inexperienced and found out someone sheered me for almost $6K, it was at that point I learned all I needed to know about getting fleeced. Good luck with that alert thing, just make sure you are intimately aware of who really holds the sheers in their hands.
Make your life better, just become an Apple or Android of Linux convert then you will not have anything to complain about.
There is one and only reverse split option that Nokia could get away with, make 1B shares become 500M shares and then Nokia buys back an addition 500M shares at the same time, and after the deal is done, have a minimum of cash in the bank to have bought the 1B of shares in a stock buy back to begin with, plus another big chunk of money to reinstute a healthy dividend, and still tons of cash left over to invest. for long term growth. That would bring credibility back to Nokia for their shares in a heartbeat.
I was waiting on something like this, Vodafone is getting $130B in cash and stock from the Verizon purchase of the 45% of Verizon Wireless that it didnt have, the deal has already closed and the money/stock has changed hands. Vodafone definitely has the cash. Good stuff here.
Used to have an LG Revolution, was able to plug into the USB port on my laptop and connect the other end into the LG Revolution, the phone recharged over the USB port, anyone tried to charge their Lumia's off a USB port from their laptops? I have a charging plate from Nokia for wireless charging and I have the USB charger that plugs into an electrical outlet, but curious if the USB port from a laptop could also be used for charging, I did try it one time with no luck, any suggestions?
There you named the problem, they have to build bloat hardware for Android to run on, a bad movie is still a bad movie no matter how good the definition of the device that you display it on. No one could payt me to have to suffer thru the agony of having to go back to Android, that experience just left users wanting something significantly better to experience, Windows answered the call at least for mobile, soon for laptops as well.
The billions that went out the door in dividends to VOD last year, that ceased. Perhaps Verizon may be increasing its dividend is what I would expect. GO Verizon!
Probably of significance on the Nokia Android phones . . . "Elop said Nokia's entire line of devices will be under Microsoft's control once the acquisition is finalized, so even these non-Windows Phone handsets will tag along. " Microsoft is going to do nothing but head upwards, Microsoft I am expecting will even break its 52 week high perhaps this week.
There is another hack called the Mask that was just recently published, didnt appear that any OSs were immune to it. It hit Apple, Linux, Android, Windows, etc. so I would discount that article as be anything more than a news blip.
