He apparently would like you and everyone else to believe that the project has in fact been underway since July. That way when the revenues don't reflect what he would like us to believe, he can point to that and say AHA! I told you so!!!
Of course….all of this originated from me…in his mind. But the chronology is all pretty clear in black and white if your just paying attention to all the press, and not just that, that suits you.
His bashing days are numbered….60 to 90 left I imagine. The best part of all of this contract is that its with a neighboring municipality as the town where they did an initial five year study or vetting of the system. Babylon NY is in the Western part of Suffolk County, right on the Nassau County border. The other neighboring municipalities of these two will most definitely take notice and at least explore options / have dialogue if they are in need of storm water solutions as well. Thats just the way it is…and the other 80% of the outflow pipes left to be done in the contracted community….Abtech would have to really fall on their face to miss out on that additional work. I would think a community would prefer continuity of systems, rather than numerous varying systems. JMHO
Mako…read my posts from Aug 14th and 15th. after more information was provided on the "award"
My thoughts on those dates show that what I thought would happen on July 2nd was no longer relevant. Since these later posts render your "Liar" argument irrelevant, I honestly don't expect you to acknowledge them.
The post on July 2nd was my opinion at that time, which changed 6 weeks later. Is that YOUR definition of a liar? Don't be ridiculous, you are clearly intelligent enough to understand the difference. Suggesting otherwise exposes some sort of an ulterior motive…..or emotional problem.
IMO…he is not worried. He just has an unhealthy obsession with either Glen Rink personally, or the company itself.
Something happened along the way, he may have worked there and got shjtcanned, invested in the company and then felt he was deceived by management in some way, who knows.
One thing is for certain, by reading his posts, whatever it is it is extremely personal for him. He may even be justified in some sense but to go on and on and on and on over the same nonsense is just not healthy. NOT healthy.
On the 15th…I wrote
"That sums it up...unless a surprise contract comes along, we need to be patient another six months to a year out."
So again…as a confirmed liar…don't expect too much from 3rd Qtr. earnings
in conclusion….mako is dumb…with emotional problems
Also on the 14th of Aug
"The landfill evaporators they discussed must go through a validation period which could take up to 6 to 9 months....No Euros until March - June 2014...that's if they are fortunate to sign a contract and implement first unit tomorrow."
Tomorrow would have been Aug 15th, in which it would appear no contract to this date Nov 12th. as no announcement has been made. I'm beginning to think my lying is pathological.
In conclusion…mako is dumb
Also on Aug 14th
"The oil and gas division has a current $4 million plus working pipeline, several small sales have transacted but major bids remain on the horizon.
Since revenue for Qtr. 2 was only 100k, I would say those several small sales were small indeed. Although better than nothing, this is not a sustainable business model. Don't get me wrong...I am optimistic, but not expecting 2013 to amount to anything unless a rogue contract comes across the table."
What a lying pumptard I am….
In conclusion…mako is dumb
On August 14th I wrote this:
"Try not expecting much for 5 1/2 months....my math says 200k revenue per month until February before we get into the meat of the contract. Quote below...
"This first engineering phase consists of site and BAP selection complete design is scheduled to take up to 22 weeks to complete, up to 22 weeks, that is the term of it not to exceed, that could be in varying timelines sooner than that but it has up to 22 weeks to complete and represents an estimated 11% to 12% of the value of the contract."
That's also if they can get into the ground easily then. Bad winter = bad frost = cost overuns that eat into the
bottom line. That being said, the contract is not signed yet despite the municipality's anxiousness to begin?
For full disclosure...I'm not worried but keep expectations in check."
I'm a liar because I wrote this before the contract was actually signed, but given the 22 week engineering phase of the contract, and the contract being signed in October, the real revenue should start coming in in February once the construction phase begins, as I stated.
In conclusion…mako is dumb
Again…received an award in July…contract signed in October. Revenues to come after a contract is signed. Lenny from Stienbeck's OF MICE AND MEN could understand that…why can't you?
Although they may have anticipated work to begin in August, it looks as though it didn't work out that way. Looks like it began in October, after the contract was SIGNED. Does that make it a "lie" ?
Again…get over yourself…you are too emotionally involved.
I'm not denying these statements weren't released by management, where in my original post does it say that? It doesn't….but lets go through them one by one anyway …
Teaming agreements? We all know including yourself that little to nothing will come from that.
Validated its technology in 10 different shale plays? Sounds like R&D to me, no revenues expected there either.
12mil Stormwater Award? You remember that one Mako…its the one that you said the company was probably lying about when they announced it. Well, it was awarded in July, and mentioned just before 2nd Qtr. earnings. That means that Abtech was chosen but a contract had not yet been signed. That contract…. the one that you said Abtech was probably lying about…it was discussed in the 2nd Qtr. conference call but not officially signed until October, which is the 4th Qtr. Which apparently I need to explain to you that nothing should show on the third qtrs. revenue in regards to it.
So again, and I will try and use small words in a simple sentence. Don't expect much from 3rd Qtr. earnings.
How can someone be so smart and so stupid at the same time? The answer is when they deliberately try and twist facts and other peoples statements to serve their own purpose.
You come across as a bitter, sore loser Mako. It permeates in all your posts. Again, you are too emotionally involved. Get over yourself for your own good.
Mako….you're trying too hard. You're just too emotionally involved for some reason. You want to be right SOOOO Badly, and to this point your belief that this company has not met up to anyones expectations is correct. Even the managements expectations….
My question to you is….what's going to happen to you if this company actually turns a corner and starts making a profit, starts getting more storm water contracts, starts being the company that perhaps is finally, after twenty or so years, in the right place, at the right time, with the right product?
What will you do with yourself?
Something happened to you along the way with this company, and thats your business. Stop wearing it on your sleeve. I do think however that deep down inside, you know this company is turning the corner and it sickens you.
That unfortunately is your problem though. I hope you can stop with the message strings where you post six or seven times to yourself. I don't think its good for your health.
Don't expect too much this qtr.
The 12mil Storm water contract was not signed/announced until Oct 10, revenues from this shouldn't impact the third qtr. IMO
The Deisel Pure announcement did not occur until the first week of Sept. so this should also not impact earnings and revenues too much.
Forward looking statements will be the lion's share of the discussion again. Hopefully there will be something new to announce before years end regarding any other contract/deals made.
LOL…you are something else.
Did you know that according to a 2008 survey the average salary for a start up CEO was $237,000?
5 yrs later Rink's pay is still below that 5 year old average. I would say that his compensation could be viewed by most reasonable people, as being in line. Maybe MILTY can verify that data too.
Another thing, if you really believe that Abtech issues a PR every time they take a shjt, then this company is suffering from severe constipation. The more truthful scenario is that every time someone speaks of this company's future potential, or speaks of them positively in any way, you feel compelled to drop a heater by attacking the management, or the product itself. Then, you have one of your other aliases come in for a "sniff" to verify the data. Good for you…time is on my side…profits within one year IMO
Correction….the 10 outflow pipes represent less than 20% the municipality INTENDS to replace, and the number of other municipalities the company is in discussion with is approx 80 not 60. Its 60 on the West coast and 20 on the East. Personally I think one of the 20 on the East coast is more likely to act. Just a gut feeling.
This latest contract is to perform work to replace 10 outfall pipes for a municipality on Long Island. This represents less than 20% of the outflow pipes this municipality has according to management. In my opinion, at a minimum this contract will be expanded to include other work, or a new contract to install another cluster or group of outflow pipes this coming year.
Rink said they are in various stages of talks with upwards of 60 other municipalities….all watching or aware of this contract award. With 60 other potential clients in the wings, would it be safe to say there is a 75% chance of landing one other deal, or an expansion of the current deal? I conservatively think so.
With 90% of the revenues from this deal coming in 2014, an expansion of this current deal or another contract of similar size puts Abtech in a very favorable position to be profitable. This is JUST factoring the storm water. Anything else with the diesel pure deal, a singular oil/gas contract, a UK landfill deal, or whatever will seal this scenario to becoming a reality. All my opinion of course.
Where'd you hear he was on Bloomberg? I did a quick search for it on their page as well as youtube and came up empty.
The recent appointment of Mr. McCartney to the BOD and his relationship with Watts Water could be beneficial to Abtech as a future acquisition target IF Abtech starts to get traction with the municipal storm water and industrial sectors. WHY?
Because Watts is not shy about acquiring companies. Since 1987, Watts has acquired 57 companies. On their webpage they have an Acquisition Strategy Link which states.."Watts Water continues to grow through acquisitions, demonstrating our commitment to providing a growing number of high-quality solutions for
residential, industrial, municipal, and commercial markets. To that end, our disciplined acquisition strategy focuses on three types of companies:
Innovative companies with important new technologies
Mid-size companies that support our current businesses
Large acquisitions that open up major opportunities"
Abtech's innovative technology could be useful for a company such as Watts, that continues to actively grow by acquisition, IF Abtech can prove over time that their business strategy with the municipal market is working, then Watts may notice, and Waste Management , which is also looking for growth opportunities, may need to throw their hat into the ring or miss out.
Every deal that Abtech makes, every use that its smart sponge is found to be a good fit for, makes this scenario more likely to happen, But Abtech will need to go from a BIG nobody, to a proven somebody first.
Exactly….however the website created by SCS Ltd. devoted entirely to SmartSponge and its products suggests a deliberate marketing campaign and promotion of the smart sponge in the UK, by SCS Ltd. to take advantage of the new water standards that must meet a "good" standard by 2015.
This feels more substantive than the previous distribution and "teaming agreements" in the US and Australia. SCS must see the incredible market potential of smart sponge coupled with the timing and compliance deadline with the new water standards. Smart sponge could not be a more simplistic solution to meet those standards. The Brits get it….
