probably old news for some but interesting that Cramer went to college with the head of the FDA...nice connection. Nice interview explaining how he missed the aggressiveness of the fda when it comes to obesity and diabetes. He mentioned 'fast track' the other night on his show. This interview is from May but now here we are.
HMA purchased 11 systems last time around. It was announced toward the end of the quarter (3/30/11). HMA has over 60 hospitals and hundreds of clinics, not to mention the original 11 were referred to as "Mako Sites" so they might be doubling up on some...who knows.
In one of the videos referenced on this board, a very happy patient and surgeon were interviewed. The patient completely switched hospitals and doctors to go with MAKO...now that's a compelling business case. Also, the surgeon mentioned how aggressive HMA is in acquiring technology and the MAKO systems.

I think they said on 6/23, the 1 year anniversary of it's launch, there will be upgrades in a greater effort to seemlessly integrate nuomi and renren. I've listened to a lot of these calls over the years. this team is very smart and insightful.
