OUCH! MGRC big miss. Q2 EPS of $0.38 versus the estimated $0.45, missing by $0.07. EPS were Down 10% from the same quarter last year. Revenue came in at $87.10M versus the estimated $86.25M. Sales were Up 4% year over year.
Agreed. The sell off was an over reaction. While it is prudent to assume that these trigger happy day traders may cause others to jump like lemmings, it could be a buying opportunity.
Their shorts are dropping! Come on Alpha, what's takin u so long to create more unproven allegations?
Good call back on the 17th! The Shorts got desperate and published FUD! Hope they took their gains because they just created a buying opportunity!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
You would be foolish to believe anything a self-identified SHORT would say on any stock. Buy!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
zbgb952, if you got in at the recent high these last months you may be feeling a little melancholy but be assured there is nothing inherently "wrong" with TAL (unless you are short). Some have been cashing in on a great run. There is also nothing "wrong" with taking profits. My belief is liquidating entirely would be a mistake. The sellers appear to have been shaken out around 40. TAL has been in a stable band around 40.5 for the last 10+ days. I prefer to be paid to hold and reap the benefits of TAL's investments in the future (it is buying containers at cheap money rates). I have had a trigger to buy at 39 since February but, darn, that still hasn't been hit. If it does, back up the truck and load up!
Buying containers while money is cheap is good business practice for this industry, especially with growth prospects I mentioned. Return on equity is solid, growing net income and expanding profit margins all good indicators. A price target of $35? No. I have had a trigger to buy more at $39 since February but it looks like the darn thing will never get that low; its rebounded again today. Keep bashing it for me and maybe I'll get lucky Ha! Good luck with your shorts. It takes both sides to have a market. This is fun!
All your "Trends" are miniscule and you cant tell anything with a single quarters numbers. What MY take is: EPS Inline, Beats Revenue of $156.10M vs $153.12M Est and Raises Dividend 3%. With govts worldwide opening the $$ floodgates and an improving US employment picture commerce is only going to increase. Stay long and get paid to wait.
That's the only explanation for why barrons would republish old lies with no new news behind it. Its exasperating how the media manipulates the market. Its almost as bad as the politicians LOL!
The way they republish old lies makes you wonder if someone at Barrons or a friend of Berry's has a short position on LINE.
Like you said, Barron's didn't move the needle with their Feb 18th negativity (in fact the stock went UP then). I expect even less effect this time since they are not reporting anything really new on the accounting and reporting other "news" backed only by speculation and assumption. I wonder why they like spreading FUD? Can they be short LINE?
