Wow, slight earnings boost, but nice growth on revs, and this is all sppi gets?
What gives?! IN the mean time the non growth pharms [bmy, lly] keep reaching for the sky.
Mr Market, you one crazy cat.
Use of gas at the wellhead for power is a nobrainer.
"Banks are still worried about Basel III capital requirements, and that opens the flood gates for companies like NCT."
That is quite a good observation, and they have taken advantage of it.
I have been layering in on 2014 call strikes, whenever profits roll in from other plays. I have underestimated this company twice last year and sold for inadequate profits. This one shows signs of moving another 30% this year... and that is conservative. It might bump 30% upon the split and climb from there.
Ok, Ok, I bought another 1300 today.
Did you see the article in Investor's Daily? Looking for 70% y/y growth.
Yup. I intend to play this one every month reinvesting the gains from each move. Also using 1/3 margin so every 1000 shares has 333 on margin.
Shorted on xd at 10.87 covered at .68 and at .44 then on xd+1 it hit higher than the high dbx. I thought, man this is going the wrong way, but held out for a drop. I am glad the first month was a winner, could get discouraging if the first month was a loss.
Tomorrow I sell my calls on United Therapeutics and get back into FSC in layers.
Some expect a secondary which can happen anytime in the cycle with the monthly payers.
Price at today's close looks tasty.
It is not the most dramatic trade, but it is fun.
I disagree for the most part but you get points for humor. Lots of points, best laugh all day.
I see this time after time on earnings and rev beats. It goes down.
In this case, earnings are lower than year 2011. Beating expectations is not all that great unless it is on a growth trajectory year over year.
I saw one company that grew 30% year on year with excellent outlook for another 30%, while it retired massive debt, and it dropped 25% and does not seem to have to have the life to get up off the mat.
There are only 4000 some stocks that trade on the US systems, all those traders have to have something to do, chances are this is mere manipulation. Heck for short term traders, temporary irritation for long termers.
Hang in there. We are going way up. IMHO!
Yeah just as soon as it is done going way down.
Remember, every stock is manipulated. There are only 4000 of them and tens of thousands of people working them... now if we could just get them all to work against each other it would balance.
thanks.
I am using half my margin.
That is my self imposed limit.
Hey more noise from the Fed on ending the MBS purchases. Reits responding rightly.
If they wait till next year, they can get it for 35 and save two billion.
Where are all the sellers coming from when earnings are accelerating?
They must have bought in the teens and are satisfied. Now they can invest in amazon or salesforce, you know, something that has no chance of ever showing earnings.
Another pharm that is smokin the earnings is UTHR. They just reported today. Of course the stock went down.
trying to claim that holders are selling because UTHR might have an earnings miss.
I guess anything flies for journalism. Art history dropouts should be banned from writing about anything.
It is common for small cap pharma to compensate their lead executives and scientists with stock in order to preserve cash flow. With growing revenues and earnings, ... short away, pal, there are much better probabilities out there than to short a growth stock showing positive outlook. Oh, off the top, Tiffany is way overvalued right now. If you like to short pharms, look at bmy and lly they are moving up on lack of fundamentals. In fact the volume line is showing weakness in their rally.
MBA huh? You must show better command of syntax, logic, and presence as a gentleman for that to be believable.
Those who step forward and state inflated credentials will almost automatically be set aside as a poser. You must be less than 25 years of age, because that is a basic lesson of experience.
I sold at 1.74. Nice profit.
Will buy back when it dips to 1.25. There will be plenty of doubt thrown around to make more selling happen in the next three weeks.
Good company, I hope I did not sell my ticket too early.
added more on the morning dip.
Now I am fully allocated.
The wishful thinking steroid. Some pumper moving it up on low volume. I just rolled my puts ahead.
some panic,... some rejoice depends on your outlook of your fellows.
Nice opportunity. Sold my calls yesterday, by some serendipity. Now reload the same calls for another cycle.
Sometimes the bahr doesn't eat you.
Ole' Senior Kain.
Best entry price might be at the open.
Ding! point given.
I think they are betting that the offering volume will depress the price lower than their pre-market selling price. I am taking profits elsewhere to jump on this.
