by "upside surprise" do you mean "hitting the previous estimate before their downward revision that they failed to warn us about and screwed us for a quarter unnecessarily?"
because quite honestly that would be a serious lack of foresight. we all know the long term is great but it would be nice if the near and mid term started seeing a slow yet gradual increase like other healthy stocks do. things like the way last quarter went make investors wary.
Okay I'll bite.
"Be it about the AAPL iWatch with your claims that the iWatch was going to be released "within weeks" back in Oct. when AAPL itself had already long since publicly said it wouldn't be some time in 2015,..to your take, also in Oct."
Are you referring to my thread where I said "Microsoft Smart Watch to be Releases 'Within Weeks'" based off this article?: http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/10/19/us-microsoft-smartwatch-idUSKCN0I80VZ20141019?feedType=RSS&feedName=topNews
...Which is now on sale and sold out on Microsoft's website? Because "Microsoft" is a funny way to spell "Apple".
Regarding Samsung in China, I think you are referring to when I said this in response to a new Galaxy phone being released in China:
"Very good news. Admittedly I had no idea how many phones Samsung sells in China but a very quick Google search revealed an article from Feb.2014 which says "Samsung tops in China for smartphone sales last year, with Apple ranked fifth". More Googling showed that Samsung was set back to a very sizable second place Summer of this year."
The point of the post is that the new low-mid range phones that China likes are being marketed to them by Sasmung. Samsung, who incidentally are putting AMOLED displays on their low and mid range devices.
My comment "rumour and slander tends to knock this stock down hard" is true. You haven't been here for too long so you haven't seen the violent 10% swings based off intentionally misleading articles with false information. Even before I committed to investing in this stock I had no idea it was such a great and promising tech because I actually believed all the fudd articles I caught quick glimpses of. Thankfully I did my research and am now in it for the long run.
You say you've skimmed my post history but I think you only checked the first page. You pull info from just the last 7 posts I made. I don't claim to be an ace investor like you do, nor do I use lagging indicators like VIX like you do, no do I care about Apple's share price like you do. I just post my opinions and thoughts like everyone else does. Some are right, some are wrong
So let's review:
- You try to call me out on accuracy but you yourself fail to read a thread title properly (Apple instead of Microsoft? How does that happen?)
- You take another post about Samsung in China completely out of context (suggesting my post is about previous sales being incorporated into future Samsung sales, not realizing I was more interested in the GROWTH of OLED adoption in China).
- Pretending that rumours (positive of negative) don't affect a share price.
- Claiming that I am wildly inaccurate while being wildly inaccurate yourself in the same breath.
- Pretending to go over all my post history and actually just checking out the last 7 posts I've made of 66. PS, sorry I do not like to spam like you do.
Given all of the above, you are either...
- A hypocrite
- Intentionally dense
- A liar
I said "I just post my opinions and thoughts like everyone else does. Some are right, some are wrong". That is hardly me trying hard to act as if I'm an ace investor. It also doesn't make sense that even after I said that you are using times I've been wrong as some sort of measure of proving that I am not a "master", something I already said I wasn't or claimed to be. It also especially does not make sense that you are trying to debase me for admitting I can be wrong, and then at the same time saying something like:
"Now I DID make a mistake on your MSFT watch post,..as I mistakenly thought you were referring to the iWatch BUT which in truth there was no reason to breathlessly pump that news as it really had no impact on UDC and it's stock. Still I was in error on that,...so I apologize."
By your own logic, no one should listen to you or your advice. I think that's something all of us already understand though.
You are right and everything you do is right.
How is your SONS investment doing? Is it at 7 like you called for by the end of this year? I won't even check if it's at 3.62 a share right now because you called it and with your expertise I know you are right.
You were also right to buy more OLED at 29. I'm sure you knew it was gonna drop to 27 and lower, and you just wanted to pretend you were mortal like the rest of us by pretending to make a mistake.
You sly dog.
You post your trades real time? Could I see a screenshot of your portfolio and all the trades within? I am very interested to see all the investments you made and how they have fared.
What am I talking about? I know they are all green and you've made all the correct calls all the time. I just want to see how much money you've made with your perfect timings and skill.
Would you please post a picture of your portfolio from your brokerage? I am very excited to see your gains. I want to get in on all the stocks you've deemed worthy! Please let me know when I should invest more and sell each individual one too! I want to follow you and your advice. Please let me!
oh yes I do believe you I really do! but can you show a picture of your brokerage account with your trade history so you can silence all the naysayers? I think it would go a long way in proving yourself to all the ignoramuses on this board.
What the heck are you talking about? Can you at least explain yourself before slandering people? If I wanted to "disrupt" this board I'd be doing far worse than expressing an opinion once or twice a month.
I assume you're talking about me asking whataposdisis yesterday to post a link to his portfolio with all his trades so he can really prove he's the best thing since sliced bread as he claims to be? If that guy wants to keep spending hours on writing walls of text nobody reads instead of posting his amazing portfolio to prove himself, then that's nobody's problem? Everyone has him on ignore anyway. I just find it funny that 2-3 sentences can spark such a large reaction from him.
No harm in me asking him to post his portfolio. Walls of text won't cut it. Needs to be a legit portfolio buy/sell history. He's a clown until he can prove he's not a joke. May as well laugh while he tries to dodge the one thing that can actually prove himself: his portfolio and his trade history.
iPhone5S? Why are you using data from over a year ago? Wow you must be embarrassed.
It's okay, you can suss me by posting a picture of your brokerage account with all your trade history showing us all how much money you've made.
If you want people to take you seriously then yes you have to post a picture of your brokerage with your trade history to prove that your money is in the market and you've made extremely significant gains to go with all your "accurate" calls.
I never claimed to be as successful as you, nor do I go spouting how I'm always right like you do. I've never put myself out there like you have.
You claim you are consistently right. The onus is on you to prove it.
No, you were using iPhone5S as a performance indicator for Apple's strategy. Data from over a year ago.
PS I think Samsung only used Note4 and GalaxyS5 as a stop gap to remain competitive. That's why their performance wasn't so good during 2H.
I can use your own posts as proof too.
- You said you went long at 29 expecting it to go higher. The share price then falls to 27 and lower.
- You said SONS would be at 7 by EOY. It is barely half that.
Can we see those trades in the history of your brokerage account? Can we at least see you have a brokerage account?
AAPL sells a lot of phones. The moon will shine tomorrow and water will be wet. I can't wait until January to show you just how much I know about physics.
That'll show you to believe me! I'll even post pictures in January if you ask for them.
I think that is really cool that you're calling things so early before they happen.
Can we see a picture of your trade history in your brokerage account to see all the amazing gains you've made?
