Nice article, and we're up a whole two cents!

Plainview, N.Y., June 21, 2016 -- Veeco Instruments Inc. (Nasdaq: VECO) announced today that Evaporated Coatings, Inc., (ECI) has qualified Veeco's Quest™ Optical Broadband Monitor System for the production of high-end optical coatings on a Veeco SPECTOR® Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS) system.

I sold naked 20 puts, in my opinion, VECO isn't going to around much longer, so I disagree with Cramer on selling the 14's. Personally, I see Acuity Brands, Inc (AYI) buying them out, I could be wrong about AYI, but I doubt I'm wrong about this company hanging around at these levels, management is to complacent. They're on their way out and are to selfish to notice that it's a public company, not their personal piggy bank. Just my opinion, and I play with my own money..
big deal if they do, sure tesla would be nice, but ford uses more aluminum in a week than tesla would use in a year
Buffett doesn't like tech he doesn't understand, plus he's the first to tell you he's getting old, thus his traders buying into Apple. Another thing about Buffett, when he buys into a company, he buys buys. What makes everyone thing he's done buying.
Berkshire flied they own 7+ million shares, one has to think they bought higher than current price. I agree with you, Berkshire doesn't flip stocks.
Management wants the stock compensation for they understand the amount of cash Weeco's holding, this puppy is going to be bought out, or so I think (maybe even an LBO). Today's action helps that thinking along, however, we're up a buck with next to no volume, so what do I know.
Almik, I see your sentiment is a Strong Buy, are you buying at these levels.
Not sure how I got a thumbs down, someone was greedy. I traded this puppy nicely yesterday and hope to do the same today.
I believe (I'm buying on these beliefs, too) someone is taking it lower as they did after last earning reports, only to go back to it's 19-20 range. Time will tell, last earning report, so thing happened. The future looks bright for Veeco, before you talk about their cash on hand. However, the boys are helping themselves to the cookies!
The folks that are (and have been) shorting AA are far from stupid, I believe they won't really run for the door until after the government makes a public stand against dumping aluminum as they did with steal. Haven't you been paying attention to Sanders, Washington is owned by Wall Street, this illegal dumping is not a done deal, plus I think Big Money started dumping AA north of 13, real smart money-north of 16. (were stupid people like me were buying)
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Thanks, I knew it was obvious when I had done it the last time, as it was this time once I opened the #$%$ #$%$ post he's writing, the man needs help, badly. What in the name of God does he get for posting such trash, the dude needs a good porn site, or something!
I think we will see it around 12ish, so we still have a ways to climb, certainly will happen before 13.50 for that is where I did my buying (when I should have been shorting) however, every dog has it's day, mine's coming!
I'm long as hell, but I sort of like the whiz bang kid. I like all shorts when it's time to cover, they have been winning, but Klaus has pulled a few rabbits out of his hat. Personally, it's about time. Old Donald won NY, Hillary has blood on her hands, she will not get the military vote. Say what you want about Trump, China will be done dumping aluminum, what's that they teach in bus101, the market predicts the future. GO AA!
Yahoo's Key Statistics has May 4th, what I'm wondering is, when the company splits, where does this big fat dividend go, or is that it, it goes and neither company is going to have one!
Did you read where they have only 90 listed shareholders, that had to have been a misprint. Nevertheless, the young smoker leading this company is a master at free publicity, so go with the flow. My stones aren't big enough to short this stock, but I am buying in and out of it when the CEO blows out a lot of smoke. If Bernie wins, I'd bet the CEO will make a big deal out of how much closer the nation is to making pot legal, that's the kicker, you can't use banks for your money, but I do agree, MSRT isn't going anywhere for a long time, but that's why you toke up, you dream, man!
Century has been going up since the start of the new year, I was thinking that folks were buying back after tax lose sales, then I thought it felt more like someone buying a position in the company. To be honest, I was wondering if Klaus was thinking of buying them out, still thinking that, too.
