    RA "Media Midgets"
"Telling you their lies and you believe in it
The mob minded media mentality speaking to the
    Insecure sheep looking for leadership
    Television producers looking for losers
    Looking for stupider viewers
The advertisers dumb it down to consumers
You lost your integrity, you sold your soul for fame and fortune"

whether fox news, msnbc or pop culture shows.........the above holds true.

Sure, try Milton Friedman on youtube and learn a thing or two about the realities of government economic policies.

just listen to the song......... if you don't get the point of the song, there is no use in trying to explain it to you.

He tried, most time standing for what is right is a losing battle in special interest politics... You need to listen to "Media Midget" by RA the Rugged Man. from the youtube description: ""Society continues to be brainwashed and programmed," explains the Rugged Man. "They are told what to watch, what to wear, how to think, how to vote, who's lives are important and unimportant, what music and entertainment is relevant. The youth especially need to know that they are being programmed, and spoon fed another man's agenda. They have to think for themselves." He sums up my thoughts well in that song.

  • from the AP "Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, the most libertarian-leaning of the major Republican presidential contenders, dominated the Senate floor from 1:18 to 11:49 p.m. Wednesday to decry the National Security Agency's mass collection of phone data without warrants. In doing so, he highlighted deep divisions within Congress — and among his party's presidential hopefuls — over the program whose existence was exposed by former contractor Edward Snowden, now living in Russia."

Why do Liberals Hate Women who Work for Fox News?

Flounder, awhile back I sighted hundreds of "special" carve outs for "protected groups"... Guess you did not take the time to read or understand the post and the referenced/sighted material. You are getting dumber by the day. But I will give you a bone...the "Hate Crime" designation, the crime is the crime no matter what is in the "heart" of the perpetrator.. but that does not matter to the "feel good" crowd. How about the use of the RICO statues for crimes it was never intended to cover. You can do some research and find hundreds of other if you care to, if not just keep your head in the sand.

Home schooled... only that my parents taught me not to be led around by the nose by the shallow agenda drive pop culture and to be a critical thinker......shame your parents did not care for you enough to do the same for you.

That was Jeb from 20 years ago -- from Washington Times article "That message bears little resemblance to the Bush of 20 years ago, when the former chairman of the Miami-Dade Republican Party entered a seven-way GOP primary for governor. Trying to distinguish himself as a conservative warrior, he did things such as denouncing Democratic Gov. Lawton Chiles for not signing death warrants fast enough.

Women on welfare, Bush said, "should be able to get their life together and find a husband" or other ways to support themselves. Gays and lesbians, he said, do not deserve special legal protections because "we have enough special categories, enough victims, without creating even more." Asked what he would do for African-Americans, he famously said, "probably nothing," explaining that he wants "equality of opportunity" for all people."

You want me to go back 20 years and find some nice juicy Hillary quotes? I think he is right about equal protection and not special protection fwiw.

Flounder II, how would the current Democratic Party view Kennedy? Hint, he would never get party support and would be closer aligned to the libertarian wing of the tea party. Reagan was a Kennedy democrat..... like he said I did not leave the party the party left me. To clam to be a liberal and then use Kennedy as a justification in today political spectrum just show how shallow and uneducated you are in political ideology.

Flounder, Then so did the information gathers in France, Germany, England and Israel. At the time it was not willful deceit but a world panic mentality after 911. Remember even Hillary and the Democratic leadership voted to go to war.
There was no budget surplus in the real world accounting, only in government accounting.
Glass-Steagal??? "“Today, Congress voted to update the rules that have governed financial services since the Great Depression and replace them with a system for the 21st century,” then-Treasury Secretary Lawrence H. Summers said at the time. “This historic legislation will better enable American companies to compete in the new economy.” Summers was who's Tres Sect.?
A recession is not a depression, there is plenty of blame to go to both parties for that mess.

Here is some homework for you Flounder, Read "Lords of Fiance" by Liaquat Ahamed over the weekend and see if you can see the correlation to the housing bubble bursting.

Teddy was a progressive, Wilson was a progressive, Yalta, League of Nations and WWI, FDR was a progressive, a racist, and an appeaser, Truman was FDR's lacky, Eisenhower used the power of the Federal Gov't to side step the private property rights of citizens, Kennedy Vietnam, LBJ failed great society, Nixon enough said but did push through the Clean water Act, Ford was a place holder but a country club GOP'er, Carter enough said, Reagan big government spender, HW a patsy to Kennedy and O'Neil (but by all accounts a true gentleman), Clinton 1st term was a joke, how could such a popular president loose the congress? - second term some good but too many #$%$ eruptions, W you seem to have all the hate so fill in your blanks -- mine is expanded government reach and privacy concerns, Obama Government over reach - scope of the executive, Nixonian in his respect for the law, executing US citizens without trial, continuing the bad Bush policies and ending the one that were working, class warfare promoter.

Every one of them grew the Federal Government in scope and spending --- that is why they are not worth a dime. imo

By far Obama is the worse President for the country as a whole... he is a divider of people and only "represents" a selected base and not the populace in general.

Your turn donkey boy -- why is W the worse?

"Let's not overcomplicate the issue: Cheney was obviously the de facto US president thru Bush's first term, and partway thru the second term." Flounder II, you need to stop making up "facts" and do some unbiased reading.

If Bush's administration is guilty of war crimes, then you must also see the same in the Obama administration and every administration since FDR preceded by Wilson, and Teddy since 1900.

How is JEBBY qualified to be President?

Flounder, you should love HW. He got taken in by the Democrats, raised taxes and got nothing in return because the Democratic leadership lied to him and did not hold up their end of the
"gentleman's" deal. Thus "No new taxes" ushered in the Clinton era. W make the top ten worse presidents but is no where near the top. Except for Teddy..... he is the only GOP'er in the top 10 on my list.

Andrew Cuomo is the only candidate the D's could run against Jeb that is as qualified. I don't care for either one of their politics, but Jeb is more qualified that Hillary and almost any candidate the Democratic Party can field.

The Obama administration to this point has been giving the local and state the surplus so his hand and the Congress' hand are not clean over the pas few decades. What the Federal Government gives, the Federal Government can take away on a whim (think about that all you big government types). Funny thing it's our tax money that bought the "goods" the administrations from HW to Obama have been "giving" to the locals agencies..... seem to me the Federal Government is taking too much from the tax payer and wasting tax money if they can give military gear away for free (or spending too much with the Industrial Military Complex -- probably both)... is the Federal Government now going to auction the surplus off to third world countries or just give it away to buy "friendship" from dictators and despots? Or, let the equipment fall into disrepair to pay the maintenance cost to keep it in viable shape? Whatever Obama decides to do..... it will cost the tax payers, that is certain. Or worse, if the local and state agencies see a need for the equipment...... they have to tax us again to pay for something we have already paid taxes to buy and pay for.

" Why didn't the cops use tear gas or call out the national guard" -- the cops just shot the bikers that displayed guns........... seem that was a more effective and more lethal response. Why are you not crying " 1% er's life matter!"/ You do know according to your ilks belief system that calling someone a thug is the equivalent of using the dreaded word.. you need to keep up with the edict of your overlords lest you become a hate monger.

man you are slow...... it is about the strain population growth is putting on the resources in the area... what part of "for example" don't you understand you kindergarten drop out?

  • slugboy85 slugboy85 May 15, 2015 10:18 AM Flag

Flounder??? "Arizona agriculture will be the first victim of the Colorado river reduction allotment. Lake Mead is at it's lowest point since Hoover dam was constructed. "

Hoover dam was constructed in 1938 the population of Las Vegas for example was about 8000 in 1940, around 600,000 in 2013 (not including the tourist). Look at the demand on the resource "Lake Mead" over time and L.V. is only one example of increase demand..... You need to go bad and let others do your reasoning for you, because if that is the best you can do, it is not good enough to pass the smell test. Apple to Oranges comparisons are all you seem able to reason for yourself.

You have to be Flounder... posting an other stole blog from thinkprogress.
"In fact, humans are acidifying the oceans 10 times faster today than 55 million years ago when a mass extinction of marine species occurred." the 10 times faster means nothing without a base line to compare it to -- best GUESS I've seen is Ph from 8.34 to 8.13 give or take over the last 100 plus years.

"food production and security in regions dependent on fish protein, and human health and wellbeing.” like Kofi said... eat bugs

You finally have stolen the work of someone that could have had something relevant to read, yet the blogger omited a base line to compare and just used the scare tactic of (10X) to fool flounders of the world

from gallup "U.S. "1%" Is More Republican, but Not More Conservative"

Nearly half of wealthiest Americans have postgraduate education

    by Lydia Saad
PRINCETON, NJ -- Politically, the wealthiest 1% of Americans -- those in households earning $500,000 or more annually -- are somewhat to the right of the remaining 99%, but more in terms of party identification than self-professed ideology. One-third of the nation's "1%" identify themselves as Republicans, 41% as independents, and 26% as Democrats. This is a mirror image of the "99%," a third of whom are Democrats, with 39% independents and a quarter Republicans."

Eliminate minimum wage -- pro and con arguments (age, primary earners, experience, etc)
Eliminate Overtime -- salaried or on the clock?
Who only works 40 hrs a week?
Environmental regulations -- only the stupid ones. no one want dirty air or water.
