thanks, here is one for you on the middle class
"The International Workingmen's Association 1864
Address of the International Working Men's Association to Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States of America"
ohh, and the mass killing of the praire dogs have had some affect also (ranching concerns) I think ranching still is considered ag.
I will look up Nova.. thanks. the midwest and the great plain are not the same and if you look at geological data, the altitude in the great plains have "sunk" a great deal... primarly do to ag.
Rodent II, you are dense or just self deceiving....... you flat out make up "facts" and a too dumb to even put one and one together and get two.
The most important driver for a middle class was industrialization.
"Sadly, as aquifers are drained to keep agriculture from collapsing in California, those areas where ground water is lost turn to desert at very high rates" could you post the source of your "desert" conclusions? Oh and some time back we discussed the "land usage" how does your post fit into that discussion?
The sinking/collasping of the aquifers has been on going in the great plain for many decades, why have they not become deserts?
Also, what does the shutting down of the deeper oil wells have to do with your point of aquifer collaspe since the materials that make up the aquifers are different than the materials that make up the oil reserves?
encyclopedia Britannia, "Bourgeoisie, the social order that is dominated by the so-called middle class. In social and political theory, the notion of the bourgeoisie was largely a construct of Karl Marx (1818–83) and of those who were influenced by him."
Now Rodent II, since Marx died in 1883 and in his manifesto wrote about the middle class.......... if the middle class is seeking politial power it must be affluent enough, have numbers, and time to pursue it interests... Even the partial foundation (Marxism)of your progressive philosophy makes mention of a "thriving" middle class.
Need some more help?
man you are stupid...... go back and check that out. You need me to point you in a direction for find the information to prove you are wrong... if so just ask.
I doubt the orange man had to crawl to Pelosi..... the big governent wing of the GOP won and the Dem's won... the only ones that lost were smaller government HoR members and the people that voted for them because the GOP leadership sold them down the river.
Pilo, we were discussing the growth of the libertaian leaning youth some time back -- here is an example of it from a Micheal Morris op-ed, "A recent Pew Research Center survey found that an increasing number of Americans support the legalization of marijuana, with a slim majority (52%) favoring its legal use. Most notably, the Millenial generation is leading the charge in this trend, with an astonishing number of Republican youngsters favoring the legalization of the drug" -- Morris seem to think it is a bad thing, I see it as trend of younger folks wanting government out of their every day lives.
Modern era in US politics... fall after the US Industrial revolution (post 1840's) and the changing roles of government in citizens lifes (Lincoln to Teddy Roosevelt). When the government took a more intrustive role in the every day lives of citizens the modern era started. Big pivot point in the start of the modern era were T.R., Wilson, and the huge changes FDR made to the role of governement. The dates whether late 1800's or 1930's do not define the era but the change in the role of government does, So yes the 1942 election is in the modern US political era. Once again Pilo is wrong for the umpteenth time and you Sir Carson need to bone up on your history.
"How exactly is 1942 relevant to 2014? Oh right: "The reasons are apathy, anger and frustration at the relentlessly negative tone of the campaigns." Gee, which side does that a billion times more than the other? " ----- both do it the same amount, most people only notice it if it anti thier postion.
NLST own the IP that went into creating the chip...... because Diablo "modified" it still does not change the fact that the base of the design was done under contract and is the property of NLST... the firmware/software end is a different matter.
wrong again --- from NYT "Over all, the national turnout was 36.3 percent; only the 1942 federal election had a lower participation rate at 33.9 percent. The reasons are apathy, anger and frustration at the relentlessly negative tone of the campaigns."
-- do some research Pilo, or I'm going to have to start referring to you as Rodent II. as a point of reference from Wiki,"Modern history, also referred to as the modern period or the modern era, is the historiographical approach to the timeframe after the post-classical era (known as the Middle Ages). Modern history can be further broken down into the early modern period and the late modern period after the French Revolution and the Industrial Revolution. Contemporary history is the span of historic events that are immediately relevant to the present time. The modern era began approximately in the 16th century" -- even in the most generous -- post industrial revolution period, you are off by years.
I submit an alternative reason was the Dem's put up the equivalent of a Romney in the most races.
pip....... don't get ahead of yourself...... you just wrote NLST Hired Diablo.......if you are paid to do a job the results of your labor belong to those who paid you.
Forbes must be like ThinkProgress or DailyKos then.... designed to confuse the easily duped/rodent stupid, thanks for clearing that up for me...... OK now go and read the article for understanding, since your 1st read through you missed the point of the article/op-ed. Why single out Obama as the only lawless dictator in the past 100 plus years to defend? --- you sense a bit of truth in the statement, but just cannot come around to admitting the truth?
did you read the article? The legislative process does not seem to matter to the executive branch for the past 100 plus years......
Like old Ruth Bader Ginsburg slurpping down the vino? Or you stealing ThinkProgress's words as you own?
