This morning I place an order good til cancelled order for 3000 shares at 6.82. When I got back to my computer, I saw that pps was at 6.44 and was mad at myself for my order. Then when I looked into my shares bought, my broker actually got my shares at 6.08! Happy me! Was that the dark pool at work there? What kind of trickery did my broker just pull off?
for driving down the pps for a while so that I could add some more while at the same time competing with them for those low priced shares.
Congratulations to the patient longs who kept the board active throughout the down and dreary times!
Unless Apple decides to settle because the judge told their attorneys to finally stop playing silly games and warn them that the jury will most likely give a much higher award than the earlier jury decide on.
Sold my day trading shares. Trying to make some spare change while waiting for decision next week. Holding on to my long core position for the move back to $20.
They held it down at 3.80-3.82 for the longest time buying and selling a few hundred shares at a time, and I sold at 3.80, only to see it close at 3.98. Amazing manipulation.
benzinga does say half billion by next week.
Dragging pps down to 3.20? Taking advantage of stop losses? Why would anybody put a stop loss when great news is forthcoming? Too bad I was away when it happened or I could have bought some then sold for a quick profit.
Geez, did you really have to watch 60 mins to learn that China is stealing tech from everywhere? They are even stealing territorial seas in Asia!
It's called snowballing effect. At below $5 which is the magic threshold for funds, the effect is amplified, and that is what shorters are aiming for to accelerate the drop and cover much lower. With all biotechs, and pretty much all stocks beaten down, you also have margin calls coming in. These manipulators/syndicates are as big, if not bigger, than SAC. 5M shares is only worth 25M$.
Stocks will always act crazy for as long as there's money to be made from short selling and a tanking stock price. Aside from lack of investor confidence as a whole and worry about Fed interest rate increase and China, SGYP pps is being pulled down so that manipulators can buy at extra low price before the announcement of the NDA filing that is anticipated to cause pps to spike. Once accepted by the FDA and PDUFA announced, pps will spike again, before manipulated downwards again in preparation for the spike once NDA is approved.
Short selling should be banned as massive manipulation has become more efficient in the internet age. Short selling is not investing. Investment gains should only be realized by investing in companies that show promise.
Scammers. Manipulators trying to force longs to sell low so they can buy cheap shares before driving the pps back up in January.
What's changed? I can think of 30M things that changed...which if you think about is no chump change.
If there's bad news, are they not legally bound to let Pierre know about it before the deal was finalized? Unless it is for some other drug...Which could it be then?
